Alan Jones
Absolute fiend for women, luckily he respected Wallace enough to not go anywhere near me in the same sense as he did other women.
Alona Belova
A Russian woman that would often greet me before deployment. I remember one deployment where we encountered a splitjaw monster that Alona and I fought and forced to retreat. I sustained some injuries from it and later on passed out near the front line from what I believe was organ damage. I awoke to find Alona standing over me in what seemed to be a protective manner as the monster had returned with the intention to leave some sort of weapon for me.
Amber Walsh
Strange woman who can’t seem to get her personality straight, I did break her out of the mess kitchen once after Rob Warraker had forced her to cook. She would also try to check up on me as well, I recall walking into FOB and hearing her say that I must’ve died as I wasn’t responding at all to her “being annoying”. Needless to say, she was pretty happy to see me still kicking.
Brad Ward
One of the best requisition officers you’ll ever get but he’s just unhinged at times. Often saw him with Amber getting into all sorts of trouble.
Bill 'Ass' Bashline
I could never get a read on this man but he’s never going to be anyone but “Grumbo” to me. Definitely has anger issues.
Cara “Cutie” Parker
One of the first medics I met aboard Almayer, she gave me a ton of tips and tricks that allowed me to excel as a doctor and medic. I owe her a lot, quirky creature that she is.
Chance Warden
When I saw this old man in prep getting ready for deployment, I thought it was a mistake at first. He brags about how good he is at killing but I’ve never seen him kill anything. I did manage to divulge the reason he ended up here on Almayer as a private, it seems he’s been here a while. Wallace and I arranged for him to attend our wedding and he kindly married us both, it was more by force though. He was eager to kick the priest out and take over, I remember him threateningly showing off his own wedding ring and shouting “no one else here is married”. I’m just glad we got to give him some quiet time away from combat and for him to have a beer with Pierce.
Dallas Weeter
His boonie hat and blonde hair reminded me of some typical aussie but he’s definitely not from here, I think? All I know is that he loves knives and usually keeps to himself.
Denholm Parkinson
I haven’t seen him in a long time but I remember walking through briefing and hearing him say that she was one of only three medics that he trusted. He got pretty angry once when I told him some doctor had sprayed me in the face with acid too, and had to talk him out of gunning them down.
Goddard 'Eagle' Pearsall
On a failed operation and with myself so wounded that I couldn't walk two steps without passing out, he carried me across the colony on a broken leg and managed to get us evacuated. Turns out he had no idea he had the broken leg and I owe the man my life. Champion.
Godfrey 'Mortar' Muller
My first interaction with him was when he invited me to ride in the cockpit of Alamo, at the time I was pretty fresh to life on Almayer and took him up on it. It was interesting to see the pilot officer’s side of things. There was one incident where I remember watching people beating some military police to death. I tried to intervene as a medic and when one marine wouldn’t stop, I opened fire on him. I was not as good as him and was quickly felled. I woke up later in a surgical theatre with several people watching from outside, one being Godfrey. He was quick to bring me up to date on what happened, including the extent of my own injuries. He stated that he was refusing to lead his squad at this time, too upset with what had happened, especially to me and planned to go back to cryo as a result. It wasn’t the best day for either of us.
Grub Dunkers
A balding Commanding Officer with severe ex-wife troubles. Stuck in the past, it seems and can’t let go of the ex. I only hope to learn from his mistakes when it comes to relationships so I don’t repeat them.
Jackie Leveilleur
She liked to give me special attention, often letting me have military police berets to wear. I had to tell her a few times that I was straight but she still seemed obsessed with me. Haven’t seen her in a long time though, hope she’s okay.
James 'Tater' Pacheco
Tater shot me once and he would usually give me a bomber jacket if he saw me around. Never saw him without Jackie.
Javier Handford
Not much to say about Javi, all that’s really notable is the bright orange hair he has. You can spot him from a mile away. I do remember playing a few rounds of Uno with him and Alan.
J.D. Bishop
He’s pretty quiet for a big guy but if you can get him talking, he won’t stop. We went for a walk on a jungle planet once and he questioned me about my work history and where I came from. I remember him commenting that coming from Earth explains my carelessness when it comes to the dangers around me. He does owe me for the time I lugged his butt around after he had withdrawals from ultrazine, lucky I was around to keep him with us.
Jeremiah ‘Butcher’ Jenkins
If you ever got into trouble with the military police, this man would definitely make the whole experience better. He’s a good soul in a line of work that is unforgiving and oftentimes has no reward, it’ll probably cause him to break one day.
Jonas Hice
I once traded Jonas a rat for Jones, he became my Jones dealer whenever I wanted a friend to deploy with. I remember him asking me for help as he was still suffering from heart issues even after three people had seen to him, I was able to get him fixed up and on his way without a hitch.
Kai ‘Ducky’ Duckworth
I’ve never seen a more upbeat soul during the operations I’ve been in than Ducky. He’s always out to make someone’s day and I enjoyed every interaction I ever had with him. It's no surprise that a lot of girls take a liking to him.
Lilith Rein
I remember on one deployment that was pushed deep into enemy lines looking for other marines to save only to find ourselves quickly overrun. I sustained heavy injuries and Lilith was able to juggle getting me back to safety whilst defending both of us from the attacking force. I’ve never been more thankful for someone, she’s amazing.
Marcus 'Peanut' Braun
One of the first friends I made aboard Almayer, I used to ask him for his scarf for good luck and by the end of it, he’d just throw it to me whenever he saw me. He could see that I was pretty green and would keep an eye out for me and shepherd me when I would wander. I hope he’s doing well.
Nora Jewell
I remember my first interaction with Nora, they were on their first deployment as a medic and by this time I was pretty good at my work. I gave her some tips and tricks as Cara had done for me and guided her on how to be the best she can. She’s still got some flaws and maybe won’t live up to her tutor but she’s better than the average.
Phillip 'Avalanche' Murray
Lanche’s time here came and left so quickly, he was known to many, had quite the temper and was pretty carefree. Often saw him with Lilith, usually doing things that involved hurting himself. So many stories about this man but one day he was taken away, right off the dropship. Never saw him again. I wish I got to know him better, lots of people miss him.
Rob Warraker
I remember how furious Amber got with him after I convinced him to remove the cyan colouring from his hair. She held that against him for so long that I wonder if they had a thing for him.
Sebastian Hale
Odd man, seems to have a lot of things going on, especially on the mental side of things. I really wish I could help him. I hope he got the help he clearly needed.
Trianna Jesowitz
I remember this Commanding Officer well, she’d often seek me out on the deployment shuttle to give me a coffee and on numerous occasions would invite me to the breakfast briefing she held. She liked to refer to me as “The Deach”.
Wallace Haar
Really, there’s no words to describe how I feel about this man. Somehow went from a small interaction with him from the cockpit of a dropship to being married to him. Not that I would change it for the world though.
Wolfgang Schneider
I once asked for his beret whilst I was queuing at requisitions for good luck cause I’ll need it for the operation. He stated that he needed it for luck up here, I pestered him a little more which caused him to say something in a language I didn’t understand and I just gave up. Shortly later at the mission briefing, I saw him again and he walked by me and “tripped”. I helped him up and saw that he had dropped a black cap. He went on to say to keep an eye out for a criminal who stole a black cap and I said I would. I’ll never forget the gesture.
