What does being a mentor change when commenting on something, or getting an application accepted? Being a mentor literally just means, people somewhat know you decently in the community, you know parts of the game that others don't have full knowledge about, and help new players get info how to play SS13/CM... Yes being a mentor does look better on an application because you are someone who is known in the community and knows how to play the game, but it doesn't just give you a bias because of it. A ton of mentors have been denied applications, just because they didn't meet a requirement, or any of the actual content of their story was decent...


there are so many non staff/mentors or other whitelisted people who actually read the requirements, filled out the application correctly and are decently known/have a bit of playtime in the game. If anything, there are more non staff/mentors or people with other whitelists that have been accepted and built their credibility for applying for staff/mentor by doing so...
