Description of the incident: A runner was fighting a predator at hydro, against a predator. The predator was slowly getting the upper hand, so a pair of spitters attempted to make the predator leave. The predator, which was running out of health and getting repeatedly stunned, used its plasma eradicator, which instantly put me, and I believe another two xenos in to crit. After the queen healed us, the predator camped my crit body until the stun wore off, then walked up, diced me in to crit and killed me. Yes, they did not slash me in stun, but they may aswell have. They reduced my HP by about 90% with one attack from the caster, then stood about 3 tiles away and waited for my crit to wear off before instantly attacking and killing me. They did not earn the kill, it was not really an acceptable way to fight. The pred has no rules that stop it from fleeing a fight against xenos, nor any reason to use its overpowered oneshot weapon, then wait for queen heal and stun to wear off before executing. They metagamed the honor code to get a small dopamine rush off of killing other people with gamer gear, and it goes against the spirit of the role they are playing, it took no skill to click the general vicinity of the fighters, and then to capitalize on being able to take away all of my HP and stun me off weeds by waiting.
Neither spitter who engaged are dishonorable, as according to
This is a temporary status for a single engagement and is not mandatory to utilise
Example : A single or group of marine(s)/xeno(s) engage you because you are actively engaged with one of theirs, they are honorable.
Also
Yautja Honor Duels & Mercy:
Yautja may challenge another blooded Yautja or human they deem worthy of an honor duel. Honor duels are to the death but have some rules:
The challenging Yautja can choose the rules of the duel. Such as allowing the use of ranged weaponry by the challenged. This is only applicable to humans.
For a Yautja on Yautja honor duel to occur, there must have been a major incident that occurred between the two (i.e. The stealing of a trophy, grave insults and so on.)
Should the human win, they may be given a trophy from the ship by the other Yautja or one of the gear parts of the fallen yautja.
Any interference with the duel will lead to that party being marked as dishonorable. Also, any party that breaches the rules of the will be marked as dishonorable.
>>>>Xenomorphs and Abominations can never be the opponents in an honor duel.<<<<
We did not use dishonorable tactics, it was within the honor code to be free from dishonor to help the runner, as soon as the predator used its eradicator it should have returned any crit xenos to weeds as according to
Honor Code Infractions -
If you break the Honor Code while hunting a prey, you are to cease your hunt of the said prey. If you critically injure them during this, please bring them to their teammates. E.g Bring xenos to weeds. Marines to their squaddies or fortifications. Should you not be able to, due to a threat or time constraints, you will not be penalized for this however, you should be prepared to defend your initial actions should a report be filed.
Evidence (screenshots, logs, etc):
What resolution are you seeking? Warning, gamer gear should not be used to abuse other players that do not have access, predators are not punished from fleeing xenos, and do not have to SD when they are loosing. It was not a dishonorable fight, and they choose to bend the rules as far as they can to let themselves kill players that have no means of protecting themselves, while also arguably being honorable the entire time.
