    Good idea. Could also give it a sprint-like ability, that consumes plasma per square moved. Something like 10 plasma per square moved, if you need to get away quicker.

    Defender: "Hedgehog" - Lose Headbutt and Tail Sweep. Gain effect(s). Effect 1: Toggling Crest Defense will cause bullets to deflect back towards source, if the bullet would be deflected. Effect 2: Activating Fortify will cause bullets to deflect back towards source, if the bullet would be deflected.

    Boiler: "Far Seer" - Trade the ability to spray acid for increased sight range when looking far away.

    Burrower: "Lynch" - Lose ability to Tunnel. Traps lose previous effects. New Trap effect: When triggered or destroyed, trap attempts to fire 1 Acid Spit at nearest non-xenomorph. Your traps are cheaper to fill with plasma and cheaper to make.

    Queen : "Puppet Master" - Queen gains the ability to take direct control of any xeno she wants. The xeno taken over cant do anything except get salty.

    Carrier : "Necromancer" - Carrier gains the ability to plant a hugger in a marine corpse which will then reanimate and use a AI to walk towards the nearest marine and grab them then the hugger pops out and hugs the marine. Has some kind of timelimit on it and can get shot and killed.

    Necromancer sounds cool. Slight change in said zombie sprite and I'm all in for this idea.

    Hivelord: "Overview" - Reduced plasma gained per tick. Loses ability to create reinforced strength structures. Gains ability: Manager. Manager: When Hivelord rests next to a Queen in ovipositor, Hivelord can move as an invisible ghost across weeds, and create resin structures of their choosing. In this state they cannot cross unweeded tiles. Cannot weed while in this mode. (if you've ever used the slime management computer system or blob in vanilla ss13, it'd be like that but resin structure buttons instead of teleporting slimes and monkeys)

    "Composite Armor" - Defender, Crusher: Takes increased damage against bullets that were fired from far away (4+ squares), reduces damage done from bullets fired from a closer distance (3 squares or less).

    Sentinel: "Watcher" - Slightly decreases speed, increases armor. Move through doors without causing them to open. +1 (or -1?) Range to Neurotoxin spit.

    Larva: Lamprey. Can no longer evolve. Gains increased movement speed and durability, a weak bite attack and the ability to latch onto a marine, stunning them and draining some of their blood but rendering themselves immobile while it happens.

    This is EXACTLY the type of strain idea I like, not a straight stat change or ability trade but new utility.

    hell no that would just lead to people suiciding as larva and losing the game for xenos

    Ravager: "Sumo" - Changes the ravager charge to where it only works one or 2 tiles away but when hit it throws the marine like 4 tiles. If the marine slams into something hard like a wall it does bonus damage. Could also stun other marines if it causes the first marine to fly into them.
