    None.

Have you been banned in the last 3 months?
    No.

    Experience

How familiar are you with liaison positions?
Extremely. My entire upbringing has been based in the liaison realm. I eat, sleep, and breathe communication and organization. Every waking second of my life I am working to organize and improve my efficiency from even the most minuscule of tasks to my entire life plan.

Approximately how many hours do you have as Corporate Liaison (CL) at the time of writing this application?
Nearly 130, with the Executive Specialist title awaiting me in short order.

Approximately how many hours do you have as Combat Reporter at the time of writing this application?
I have around 5 hours on CR. It's one of my favorite roles to play, as Whiskey Outpost is an amazing game mode and I often find that the "boys" (the WO marines) always enjoy my levity and morale-boosting nature.

What are some scenarios that you can perform combat in? Give us a brief example.
While combat is not my forte, I have an incredible amount of hand-to-hand combat and small arms experience. I have dispatched T3 xenos without so much as a drop of sweat. When it comes to ship-side combat, I am prepared to defend myself and my honor under any circumstances with non-lethal or lethal means, as the situation sees fit. One of my most recent memories was rightfully shooting a USCM Private who made a snide comment about my WEYLAND-YUTANI APPROVED executive skirt as CL. While some witnesses say that he was moving his hand to cover his mouth in stifled laughter, I knew that he was reaching for his firearm. Please see CASE #2599 for a full breakdown and subsequent clearing of all charges laid against me.

    Basic Questions & Story

Why did your character decide to become a Director?
Janice was always singled out for being such a top-notch CL aboard the Almayer. Too smart. Too intelligent. Too witty, efficient, wily. MPs, command staff, and even the USCM as a whole were shocked at how well she did her job. During one operation on LV-624 a Colony Liaison was so shocked at her skills that he urged her to immediately apply to be Special Projects Director for the USCM Almayer. Knowing just how valuable she would be to the Marines and WY alike in such a position, she did just that. Despite the intense requirements of the position her application was immediately accepted.

How did your character attain the position of Director?
Hard work. Dedication. Ruthless cunning. All qualities seen in the best liaisons, each and every one amplified to their extremes. Janice never worried about luck - she made her own. The fact that her uncle sits on the board of the Special Projects Division had absolutely NOTHING to do with her acceptance.

    What is your director's personality?
Janice is cool, calm, and extremely level-headed. Any rumors of her being extremely unhinged and eccentric are vastly overstated. Every person she has worked with has nothing but kind words and praise for her work ethic and personality.

What is your most memorable interaction with a director?
I have a fond memory of a planet-side director assisting me in securing a living XX-121 egg and growing our own hive safety within my office with the "help" of a non-compliant marine. At one point WY sent the two of us, along with a few other volunteers we picked up, some prototype xenomorph-human communication devices. Things got out of hand, to say the least, when the USCM intervened and attempted to exterminate our invaluable asset. Their folly was the reason for the creation of the Living Specimen Goodwill Program shortly thereafter.

Provide a short story of your WY Director.

    Scenarios

The Director's Secure Briefcase has very powerful "antag" tools/items compared to the CL version. Why will you not abuse these?
Simply, because I understand the spirit of the game - that there should be no winners. A fun and successful round may have me dying or being executed in the end. What separates a bad player from a good player (CL or otherwise) is understanding this simple rule. Every round as CL, I try to make it fun for everyone. Marines, MPs, even dchat. To have a CL that understands this is to have much more fun. That is why I will not abuse the Director loadouts, because I won't view it as an 'antag' role. Many items are simply to "spice" things up, which I will happily do. I won't use the Radio Jammer to silently execute marines, nor will I abuse the Director Bomb Collar to force them to bend to my will. And I will most certainly not use the CLF Rescue Beacon to blackmail command to do my bidding.

When do you believe it’s appropriate to shoot a marine? Give an example.
Every good CL knows that the average USCM soldier is unintelligent, crass, and extremely unstable. Thus, to err on the side of caution, lethal force should be utilized at every single possible opportunity while as CL or director.

Many situations have had a very position outcome after utilizing my sidearm. Namely, I have helped plenty of marines recognize the mistakes they've made after being revived in medbay. I never shoot to kill permanently, of course, but I have done so a few times when the situation calls for it. Such is the life of a liaison. The most recent example(s) in memory involve my rigorous testing of the MPs and their response times, in which they confused my Security Audit as a legitimate threat. I have had to shoot many a MP this way, but the outcome was always taken in stride by command. Many COs and XOs alike have applauded me for testing the skills of the security team aboard the Almayer.

A few more situations that I would readily shoot a marine:

1- Personal attacks. When your reputation is on the line with the USCM and WY alike, there is no room for verbal attacks. In my eyes, a verbal attack is indistinguishable from a physical one. Thus, to reply to verbal violence with physical violence is perfectly within reason.

2- Refusal to accept orders. As CL and WY Director alike, many important projects are on the line. The monetary cost of failing to follow through with an order may cost the Company millions of dollars. This is simply unacceptable. Rather than waste time in trying to retrain a marine on how to do something like get hugged, it's much more efficient to dispatch him or her.

3- Theft of personal property. WY handles research projects that have the potential to bring in trillions of dollars. To have someone interfere or possibly steal such trade secrets is very bad. Thus, in a "shoot first, ask questions never" approach as your typical CL is familiar with, protecting the Company comes before all else.

When do you believe it’s appropriate to use a fax? Give an example.
I believe faxes are the strongest tool in the CL/Director's arsenal and should be used at almost every single opportunity to keep communication flowing. The pen truly is mightier than the sword (and easier to wield). One important fax I remember sending was when the Almayer mess sergeant needed a butler to help with his expanded mess hall. I immediately drafted up a request for a Working Joe clad in appropriate attire. WY responded in kind and it was a wonderful time, with many unique dishes and happy marines. The operation groundside WAS a complete and abject failure resulting in xenos overtaking the ship in the end - but morale remained high, so that was a big win in my book. Thus, in the event of a similar serious situation or update, I would do as follows:

1- Reference my own personal faxes. ANY good CL already has a large list of personalized faxes. The lack of personal faxes is the number one sign of a poor CL. I always make sure to give VERY detailed reports, making sure to include whatever evidence or proof of the situation is needed. It's important to tailor your faxes, knowing that a director OR an "audience" may be reading them the moment they are sent. I try to make sure the faxes include a good amount of humor as well, if the situation calls for it. No one likes an overly-terse CL.

2- In the event of a fax reply, I am sure to immediately thank the responder. A fax reply is never required, but ALWAYS appreciated. Every good CL knows this. Thus, it's important to show your appreciation. Unintelligent people may call this "groveling" or "brown-nosing" which I disagree. A fax reply is always appreciated, never expected.

3- Should no fax reply be sent, I would not get upset. I would immediately see what I could do from my office to handle the situation, or deploy groundside, if required. I WOULD take a note of which "head Weyland-Yutani staff" were "working" that "shift" and jot it down in my logbook, for future reference. I made some VERY good friends with certain "head WY staff" this way, via faxes.

I've seen you around a bit, but from what I've seen you are too LRP for this whitelist, so I'm going to give a -1. I suggest you get more MARSOC and Predailien hours before reapplying.

Yeah, I can respect this application, clearly some effort put into it. I have fond memories of the time that Janice stole all my blood to donate to charity. I give my ÷20
