As far as i am aware, only interfering with an arrests at roundstart is OOC issue, because you (squad marines), usually, don't have reasons to interfere with lawfull arrests.
About prisoners breaking free: i don't understand how is it buff, because i don't think that any prisoner could break free without help from outside if MPs were watching brig.

I will do everything to help a SL, Spec or even a random Bravo PFC that's getting arrested before brief or after evac unless he made a major fuck up on purpose.
If you're trying to arrest a guy for a minior thing like having a gun out in briefing, brawling a fellow marine in bunks or crossing the CP you should get fucked over by marines because you deserve it.

And regarding brig breaks - they WERE possible and I broke free multiple times WITHOUT any outside help just with my boots and a lightbulb. Outrobusting the MP with a fire extinguisher from the locker or a crowbar from the rack and then using their handcuffed body with a stripped headset to open the door was the hardest part, but it wasn't impossible (Hello MP mains that never play PFC or any other marine roles)

What MP nerfs?

this was the last MP update and it's literally 3 months old.
You now have indestructible windows in brig, prisoners can NOT break free anymore.
tackling a MP who's arresting someone is now an OOC issue and breaking into brig to free someone is also an OOC issue

There are plenty of nerfs (Quite a few are bugs mind) which have made it very difficult to do their jobs, I've already highlighted them privately to the development team and they've made a lot of work patching them. Regarding breaking out of the brig, that is an OOC issue yes and it has been for a long time.

Regarding people helping their friends, yes that is generally for smaller crimes (Like whole squads rioting over someone being arrested for 10 minutes and refusing to deploy for a full round)

This is all brought along by actions ingame, no MPs really pushed this, it's basically staff clamping down on retarded behaviour.

According to ML:
Minimum punishment for FFP: warning
Minimum punishment for insub: 5 minutes
Minimum punishment for trespass: Escort out of the unauthorised area

If marine didn't holster his rifle after he was warned by MP, then he has violated ML and deserved 5 minutes in brig.
If marines didn't stop fight after being asked to stop fight by MP, then they have violated ML and deserved brig time
If marine has crossed closed CP, that was open for five seconds for medic or someone else to go through, refused to return to briefing, then he has violated ML and deserved brig time.

If MP didn't apply mimimum punishment he should be reported to CMP or CO.

As far as i know, MPs may straightjacket you, if you are trying to break glass even after being warned by MPs not do so. And now i agree, that it is minor MP buff, since new MPs won't screw up with brigged marines.

MP role... Where do I even start.

I played MP a few times, yes, I know, I must be brain damaged. Hear me out. I wanted to try it. I enjoy security role on every other SS server. Why you ask? Well, security is usually the first force to stop antagonists. You get a taser - extremely powerful gun in right hands. One shot stun. On baycode, taser is even more strong, because it doesn't run out of charge. You can fire virtually forever. Just getting a taser makes my powerboner show up. But you can't be a powergamer MP on CM unfortunately. There's so many protocols you have to follow.

My typical MP round on CM looks like this: spawn in. Go to watch req line. Watch req line proceed normally and without any accidents, because now you can't even fuck around in req line because it's against server rules. Watch marines go on Alamo and deploy. Now Almayer is empty. Everyone else tries not to fuck with Marine Law because the brig timers are too fucking long to even attempt to have any fun. If someone does get arrested, I have to bring them to brig and SIT THERE WITH THEM. Oh god. I didn't sign up for this role to watch someone else AFK in a 2 by 4 room. Time to AFK myself... Oh my god. This is so boring. I could be playing xeno right now and be getting some action. Yeah fuck it. Time to cryo.

I guess MP can be fun when there's an actual mutiny, but I am not gonna suffer thru this role, 10 rounds just to hope to get some action in one of them. There's no antagonists on Almayer. I don't wanna arrest someone over minor crimes because I am not a cunt. There's literally nothing to do as MP. Others don't even want to RP with you because they have an actual job to do. You can't rp with MTs because MTs actually break law to do something fun and you can't break any laws. This job is shit.
