Approximate time and date of the incident
    2:11pm central time (i think)
Which of the following are you reporting?

    Description of the incident
LV-624 round, marines and xenos had been fighting on and off for 2 hours (round had just hit the 2 hour mark) and xenos were on the backfoot as they were pretty heavily outnumbered and trying to cap while holding, then the staff member in question presumably decided 2 hours was long enough, and MOOC'd to marines:

A few minutes later, since marines seemingly didn't make enough headway, the staff member decided to spawn a reinforcement ERT for the marines (who already had a numbers advantage by the 1:4 ratio goal for pop scaling) which included around SIX specialist kits:

Around this time, or shortly after, the Queen is unsurprisingly killed, and the marines completely wipe the hive within 15 minutes of the first MOOC from the staff member in question.

Normally, this would just come across as a hasty but well-meaning attempt to keep rounds going and get a fresh environment on the server, but as soon as the round ended, the staff member announced they'd be running an event starting immediately:

In my eyes, this is a gross misuse of admin permissions to quickly end a round that hadn't been running much longer than the intended average of 1 hour and 30 minutes, just so the staff member could run their event quicker.
    Evidence
These are just the screenshots from the description put together more closely.

Do you understand that staff make the final decision in the resolution of this report?
    Yes

I was one of the 10 xenos holding out against the marines in that round.
Marines had both manpower and supplies to end the round on their own, but seemingly were failing to do so.
From our perspective while we are holding on and trying to survive actively fighting out of nowhere 4 SADAR specs show up, followed up by a horde of marines and quickly end the fight

I could understand ending the round when it goes past 2,5 hours or 3 but doing it at the 2 hour mark just incentivizes both sides to rush the other side down else one or the other will get admins help in ending the round.
Holds like this as xeno are one of the reasons i love playing this game where you fight against the odds and sometimes manage to pull through and ending moments like this just because a staff member wants to do his event faster just feels wrong to me.

Sup, I was the CO "Nasoki 'Coward' Chen" for this round and I'll just give what I saw

We killed the first hive without issue and xenos scattered to the wind, at this point we were low on manpower but I was confident it was an easy wrap due to only 8 xenos being left. Suddenly marines are getting picked off, we do the classic chase for a while, kill the queen, and I assume it's over at last. Suddenly there's a new hive at the SW caves and it's holding strong.

After assaulting it with my force and we managed to get it, I was killed along with most marines that moved in with me due to a queen screech. Xenos were giving it their all and the fight could have gone anyones away. At one point it was 40 marines vs 8 xenos, then it turned into 17 vs 10 xenos, CIC was fumbling the bag not giving callouts or announcing where to hold, xenos had a very skilled queen, xenos pretty much had it in the bag. Maines fell back to west cave mouths to hold when suddenly cryo troops get deployed for no reason, XO only bought one wave (I think not sure) but it started to be spammed with admin only spawned cryo marines. The cryo marines also get some overpowered weapon for some reason, I didn't bother to stick around to see what happened as it was clear xenos got stomped.

Usually as a dude who plays marine a lot, it's fun to lose as marine or go into the battles where it can go anyones way. What isn't fun is seeing xenos being stomped cause someone wants to run an event early. It's not fun for marines or xenos

The allegation is he ended the round because "I wanna run my event" and I'll let frozen determine that. However due to an oversight on my part when I was semi-retired, there is a staff policy about when staff can intervene with Stalemates that I will update the Code of Conduct Event Standards for in the coming future before I depart.

    My POV is as follows.

The round had been dragging on for a considerable amount of time when the initial MOOC was sent, having lasted 2hrs 15m with the last half hour seeing very little change excluding individuals on the eastern side of the map fighting one or two xenos.
The marines were camped outside the hive in West Caves and refusing to push at all, so I made the MOOC encouraging them to wrap things up. Some people followed this, but as many people didn't which resulted in the deaths of most if not all of those who did.

It is my belief that given another 40 minutes of slowly whittling the marines down, the Xenos would have been able to pull victory out of defeat, however I do not believe that this would have been an enjoyable 40 minutes for the almost 100 people in deadchat at the time. Around six minutes after my MOOC after the marines fell back again I sent a platoon ERT to assist via droppod. I can't speak as to why there were SIX specialists in that ERT, as so far as I know it should scale but not beyond limits. Despite the number of specialists however I believe the number of marines in that ERT would have achieved the same result and that the specific details as to how many specialists remains irrelevant.

The main point of concern from this report is that I immediately announced I was doing an event following the end of the round. My answer to that is yes, of course I did. I said before the round started I would be doing so, and so whether the round ended 30 minutes before, or an hour later, as soon as it had finished I would have made the same announcement I did.

I can see clearly that it appears I accelerated the round to run my event, however that is not the case. Generally speaking once a round hits two hours staff have freedom to act on stalemates, even with the action I took - and the belief by some that it was overkill/unfair - the round still lasted ~2 hours 40 minutes. The issue I see at present is that regardless of what staff do in such stalemates the outcome is the same level of indignation and attack from members of the community. This remains the same should staff aid one side or another, both, and even when doing nothing. No course of action in situations like this will result in universal applause.

I am sorry to those who believe I artificially ended the round for my own benefit, I really am. But that is not the case.

There are some timestamp logs below to show a rough timeline. To be confirmed by whomever pulls appropriate logs.

I'm satisfied with Forrest's explanation of events and his POV.
Balancing the round is always a challenge. I've pissed people off too in the past.

I won't be taking any action here.
The logs presented support Forrest's POV.

    For all the doomers
Neither Forrest nor I are immune from reports or criticsm
Thank you for reporting this chainsaw, I can understand how this could have been a deeply frustrating round experince.
It was in my belief, not done maliciously nor an abuse of Forrest's powers.

    No Action Taken.
Thanks! and have a CM Day
