Reason for Ban Rule 1a. Bigotry 1 week ban. Tackled a user's inappropriate discussion by personally insulting them and their family, using a slur/derogatory language to do so. If you see someone break a rule, you should report it, you especially shouldn't follow it up with breaking another rule yourself. - Moonshanks Expires: March 2nd 2023.
Link to previous appeals for the same ban (if applicable): N/A
Your appeal, including evidence (screenshots, etc). If you were in the wrong, explain what you did that was wrong, and describe how you have or will improve your behavior. I believe the ban was for making a joke with the slur "wop" in it, a term used to describe Italian people. Honestly I didn't really think of the word as racist, in my own life experience in Australia at least the word is on the same level as "wog", which is to say a light-hearted way to describe European people. I also wasn't quite aware of the new conditions of the discord, I was under the assumption that people could still say the N word with no hard R, and thought it'd be fine to use the word.
I apologise for not looking into the rules properly and for any offence I may have caused, I'll implore myself to stay away from that territory at all in the future.
Do you understand that making low-effort appeals (short/does not address the issue/shitposts) may lead to immediate denial and/or other types of consequences? Yes
