Alright let's hit this one by one.

First thing is gonna be the ban history, the list of appeals and the last month are definitely going to be a turn-off for some, but we all do stupid shit, myself most certainly included, so that isn't gonna make or break this application for me.

Hours and experience aren't bad, at least in my book. 60 hours XO is fine, and I'm always happy to see someone putting in SL time.

I also like the idea of a bougie kid who signed up with expectations of heroism and adventure, who has slowly become more and more disillusioned with the nature of the corps and his job after all the years he's served, but I think it'll be difficult to convey in round, I'd like to get some idea of how you would RP that in game. That being said we don't care nearly as much about gimmicky shit as we used to, so don't drive yourself crazy on that point alone. ]

Story is alright, definitely could use a bit of work on punctuation, and the dialogue at the end just doesn't quite land right, but certainly shows more effort than the 5-paragraph summary I got away with a few years back. If this app doesn't get accepted I'd look through some of the recent acceptances to see what's standard these days, I'm probably not the best person to pass judgement here.

I'd say your pardon answer is too restrictive and should be a fair bit more lenient, and as for your BE answers, I'd note that the BE privileges extend to actions "while in the Commanding Officer's presence." If you hear someone has seriously damaged a part of the ship, running to track them down just to find a reason blow their head off is more often than not a misuse of your time, and better left to the MPs. If, however, they were blowing up part of the bridge or a location you were in, you would be well within the rules to perform a BE.

Overall, I'd say your app is okay but could definitely use some serious work, I'd recommend tracking down a CO or CO Council member to get them to aid in your application. But in the end, what it really comes down to is that I just don't know you. I've been gone for winter break and only back in the last 2 weeks, but I really don't remember seeing you more than a handful of times, and didn't see anything particularly special in those. Still, I wish you luck with this app and any future ones, but for the time being I'm gonna have to lean towards a -1. If you have any questions about the role or the application feel free to hit me up on the CM discord, and my DMs are always open to those who want to become a CO.

    Hello there.

If you got a spare bit of time I'd like to know your opinion regarding the following question.

As you know, COs are encouraged to try out different tactics to spice up a round, rather than the old bravo FOB, alpha power and charlie and delta to hydro in LV.
My question is: Is there any new tactic out of the box, that you would like to try in any map of your choosing, as a XO/CO? If so, could you name the pros and cons of that strategy?

    Good luck!

Thank you for the feed back!
Although pardons shouldn’t be used that much as I could indeed get in trouble if they do the same thing. So it’s a bit more strict, but overall that could change depending on one’s situation in one of the many examples that could be presented in a round. For the BE answer I took it from a round where the scout specialist blew up officer bunks with a welding tank to take an item from a locker. He got BE’d on the spot by the CO in that round.I also have been on the game for almost a year now mostly playing squad leader and marine alongside some support roles now and then.

LV round, high pop. With all squads on the frontline instead of the usual bravo on fob. Knowing that Marines will get wounded and return to the fob to get treatment. So they can protect the FOB while they’re there waiting as well as the marines that like to build will also be protecting it. In the case it does get shattered and we do get boarded there should be enough marines to come back from the frontlines and finish them. Ship side is also armed with their usual red code lockers and holdout will be in CIC to give marines information on shipside.

There’s also the case of this failing but that’s if xeno’s just outnumber us and flank on the marines. The plan is just to use all squads fire power to their maximum.

    Hello there!

First off, the app looks a little low-quality and a bit shaky, and the story is.. alright. I can vouch for your competence on the groundside of things, but honestly.. I don't think you've XO'd much at all the past 2 weeks. And even if you did, i'm not quite sure anything was done that made me think, "Oh man that guy is definitely going for CO." You have a fair amount of hours, but if i'm honest, they don't mean much if all you do is just the bare minimum! I'm sure there were instances where you did shine; I just most likely am in a different timezone.

But hey, theres always room for improvement and opportunity, so i'm looking forward to observing you in the future!

    For starters:

1.) COs have been granted SOP modifications with almost no restrictions (Must be within CO Code of Conduct, no CIC weapons given to marines, etc) What would be some cool SOP modifications you can think of OR would do on a daily basis?

2.) You, as an aCO, are placed in a situation where you are dealing with Provost aboard the ship with a particular arrest that is causing a lot of mischief aboard the ship, and a failing frontline down below. Where would you focus your attention/matters at? How would you solve these situations?

    1) Well, I'd allow no armour to be worn while on the ship. Marines also being allowed to carry their weapons on hand but with safety. MP's being able to change their armour to light armour.

    2) Depends if I am full house CIC, since you mentioned aCO here I am assuming that my position is XO and I have 4 SO's at my disposal, and they're also quite knowledgeable in commanding. I'd leave the CIC in their hands and focus attention on the mp matter.

If I am the only cic staff, I'd focus my attention on the operation and leave the matters to the MP and provost to figure out.

I live in GMT timezone and mostly take up the XO position in the case that no one took it. Sometimes I try to roll for it and others get it so that might be why.

Sup. So recently in a round you were causing issues as spec in briefing and it ended with you getting BE'd, you don't seem to understand why JD BE'd you after giving you multiple warnings to stop disrupting briefing. Kinda of shows you don't understand the BE rules. I don't think I really need to say more

    Hey there Alexei,

While I normally go quite in depth when I leave negative feedback on applications, I don't think I'm going to give this one the same treatment as I have a very simple and few comments.

First off, I wanted to comment on the times I've observed you as an XO (which is not many because you mostly dont play XO anymore). While I did observe you playing XO I noted very, very delayed information (T+7-10 minutes delayed), vague orders, and generally being quiet and not utilizing comms. Again, I havent seen many examples otherwise as I havent seen you play XO very much compared to others roles you indulge in.

Secondly, the recent incident involving your battlefield execution. I haven't seen a lot of positive interactions with you and command in recent days, and this recent one dosent help your general track record. I wont go into too much on this as Sandvich already said the most simple important thing he could about it.

Again, Im not going in depth on anything else in the app as by the time ive read it I already had negative observations, so this is my formal -1.

"Battlefield executions must be used sparingly due to their ability to permanently take someone out of the round. Invalid or unnecessary BEs may subject you to punitive action by the CO Council."

The BE that was used on me was not sparingly and was quite unnecessary when an MP was on the scene.
