    There needs to be a player limit.

    The game is made for ~150 players, there should be an appropriate player limit to match that. Imagine your first SS13 experience (or impression of CMSS13) is 5 second lag with server crashes. I would rather some of the new people have a good enjoyable time rather than all of them having a shitty time. Any other multiplayer game understands this concept; they cap it off at a reasonable amount so gameplay is manageable and there aren't any problems. CM should be doing the same.

    I notice that anything over 200 players starts to lag.

    To be fair this only become a real issue to think about after today.

    Wait and see where the server pop levels out and adjust accordingly.

    I would argue the actual number is closer to 250 in terms of lag. Aswell, that implies that all 150 players have gone all roles needed. EG: CO, XO, SO, IO,CT, ETC. This simply isn't the case. Around 250, however, you get most of the roles filled.

    Is this because of the SeethTzeentch vidoe?

    If you were going to do a player limit closer to 200+ would be better, but I'd rather see the server split before a pop cap was introduced and the only good time to split the server is when high pop is consistently 300.

    well if there is a player limit it'll probably around 225ish players.

    But honestly ill give it a week or two for the numbers to stabilize then go from there

    half of the new players will be banned and a lot of the others wont stick around I would bet.

    I think of this as a great opportunity to stress test the server and see where it needs fixing.
