Description of the incident:

I was playing CMO and noticed a bloodied marine following an MP who was carrying a bloody stunbaton. I asked the marine what happened, and was told he was beaten by the MP. I then confronted the MP, and told him that beating compliant suspects went against marine law. I told him I'd be writing up a formal complaint and he punched the marine, and tased me.

How you would punish the accused:

MP jobban until they've read marine law, and are willing to follow it.

I CO'd this round. Westford was the CMP, and came up to me in CIC at the start of the round asking me to give him command of a squad of marines to "protect the ship". When I told him that marines were not trained in non-lethal weaponry and would just crack skulls, he seemed to be on board with that. Guy didn't really seem to get what his role was.

This is excessive. While normally I believe in warnings before jobbans. This is just too much. Its very clear the player has not read marine law and possibly has not read our server rules. As an MP I could let this slide as a first time mistake, but as CMP I cannot.

Player will be Jobbanned from CMP. And a link to this appeal will be added to their notes. They can appeal the jobban at a later date.
