Yautja Character Story
I was awoken to my brothers hastily gearing up, the metallic clanking of their armor and the rhythmic thud of their wrist blades were rather nice than to hear the clan elders barking orders at us. My most favored brother, TaKa, was pondering about what gear he should take on the hunt. I proposed the clean and swift war scythe, easy for taking off limbs. He agreed with me, noticing the scythe that hung on my waist. We ventured over to our relatively empty trophy room, dwelling upon how glorious it shall soon be. TaKa and I proceeded to the armory, both putting on our masks.
It was almost time to begin the hunt, two of our brothers had already left to scout the planet. I was informed that this would be a frigid and icy planet, making this a first time for me. One of the younger brothers transmitted over the vox caster that there was a small colony on the planet, whose inhabitants had trophies of the local beasts of the land. I was excited when I heard this, meaning there are worthy prey in the hunting grounds.
I suppose it is time to head down to the hunting grounds rumbled TaKa, I responded with a firm nod and a grunt. I walked into the teleportation room, bracing for the rush of energy that would flow throughout my body as I was beamed down into the cold wasteland.
As I landed on the planet, I started to survey the close by town, making sure to activate my cloaking device. It had seemed a native beast had been successful in their hunt, a lifeless carcass of a medium-sized prey animal laid in the snow, soaking it a dark red. I have always been interested in the way the lesser-creatures hunted, knowing that they also had the hunting spirit inside them. I grabbed the deceased corpse and had started to get to work on it, hastily and expertly skinning it. I knew that the humans on the colony would be quite frightened by the sight of this skinned creature. I grabbed it by the feet and begun marching towards the settlement, trying to find a spot to hang it.
I reached a maintenance shed behind a humans house, it seemed like they just were repairing something moments before I arrived. I grabbed some rope that sat on a bench and begun tying it around the beasts feet, and begun hoisting it to the ceiling, throwing the rope over a pipe to finish the hanging. The bait was set, now all I needed was a human to take it. A husky man aged no more than his early thirties opened his back door and was carrying a fine crafted weapon, this must have been what he was working on. I saw him open the door and step back in shock, the skinned animal was not there minutes before, and now it was. He was petrified, to say the least. Blood was still dripping out of the body, quietly hitting the floor and freezing into a red lump of crystalline ice.
He ran back inside his house, quickly coming back outside with a large shotgun. I could tell the man was a hunter, he had many scars and I could see the head of a creature that hung in his house. He inspected the corpse carefully, but did not expect the door to swing shut behind him. He was inside the shed with me, not knowing of my presence. He lifted the weapon, aiming near the door.
I tapped my wristbracers uncloak function, an electric hiss followed by a static noise filled the room. He didnt shoot, he didnt know me, or what I wanted. This did not matter to me, an armed and decorated hunter stood in front of me. He started to seem less startled and more curious, I met his curiosity with a loud, ear-splitting roar, the smaller and weaker creature being shaken to the core. He raised his gun, but couldnt pull the trigger. Surely the sharp and distinct noise of my wrist blades being activated would cause some sort of reaction.
W-what are you? the man whimpered. I stared, approaching him. D-dont get any closer, I-ill shoot! he ordered. I slowly continued pacing towards him, he aimed his shotgun and braced for the recoil, shooting and missing my arm. I responded with another thunderous ear-piercing roar, which made him try to flee the room. He was no warrior, but could put up a fight.
In a fit of adrenaline fueled rage, he lunged at me with a boot knife, knocking me back. It was surprising that this feeble man had pulled this stunt I thought as I rubbed my shoulder, noticing the iridescent green liquid that was slowly dripping down my hand. I grabbed my scythe with one hand, firmly gripping the shaft of the bladed weapon. I rapidly approached him, he once again raised the shotgun and fired, this time landing a few hits on me. I let out a final deafening roar and lunged towards the man, swiftly scything off his hand. The man screamed in agony as he clutched his wrist. A dark red colored fluid came sputtering out of the spot that his hand once occupied like a waterfall, staining many parts of the shed red.
Another quick and decisive slash to his other hand marked the end of any fighting spirit left in the man. He would bleed out within minutes, and was on the verge of passing out from blood loss. I stood there, watching his lips tremble in fear and laughed as his life drained away. He let out a final last breath, and I knew it was time to skin the body. I took out my skinning knife and started to begin working. Not much blood was left in him, but just enough was left inside him for my armor to be sprayed with a torrent of viscous crimson fluid. I began to carry the skinned body outside, searching for any tall point to hang it from. I found a tree and carried the body over my shoulders, I quickly and skillfully leaped onto a large branch. I stared into the rest of the quiet colony, the moonlight was the only thing that illuminated the colony. I tied the rope around the tree branch, and then his ankles.
I leapt down from the tree and entered the shed where I had the engagement. I picked up the weapon that the man once held and slung it over my back. I had my trophy, and I grabbed the relay beacon that sat in my hunting pouch. I activated it, the nauseating process of being teleported back up to the ship was set in motion. I proceeded to the trophy room and placed the weapon on one of the many shelves. I noticed the recently cleaned head of a human under TaKas trophy rack and congratulated him on his successful hunt. Two more trophies were placed upon the shelves, a native creature and another human skull. We have had a successful hunt and everyone has taken a trophy. I walked into our quarters and injected myself with a healing crystal, the fiery fluid coursed through my veins and I could feel myself being stitched back together. I laid in my bed, trying to rest and recover for the next hunt that laid ahead.
Describe how your Yautja acts, and how you intend to play them I intend to play my predator as one who is a very evil and sadistic hunter, who enjoys getting the most pain and suffering out of his prey both mentally and physically. He will often litter the hunting grounds with blood and the bodies of any unworthies he has slain or the unfortunate victims of the xenomorphs. He likes to keep his prey alive for as long as possible, making them suffer and have their brothers know what he is capable of. I wish to do this by using harpoons to impale marines, or injure them just enough so that they bleed out minutes later. He greatly enjoys toying with his prey and will do actions such as leading them to their fallen brothers and luring them to skinned bodies.
He may show mercy to those who he bests in combat, and instead of taking a trophy from them or outright killing them, he will find a xenomorph egg to infect them with. This will hopefully create a more worthy opponent than the human themself. There are egg rooms on the Yautja ship, along with handcuffs and stunprods. I rarely see them used and I feel like my predator could use them for capturing a marine he has bested in combat and creating a xenomorph with them.
In your own words, describe the difference between an honor duel and a hunt Honor Duel - A sacred, fair fight between two opponents that the hunter initiates. This is almost always to the death unless one opponent shows mercy towards another opponent. An honor duel must be fair for both parties, and the hunter may provide the challenged prey a melee weapon if they see fit, and melee weapons or fists are the only weapons that may be used.
Hunt - A hunt is when one or more Yautja hunters embark on a journey to a certain planet, station, or otherwise worthy hunting ground. The honor code must be followed at all times and the hunters may choose whatever worthy prey that inhabits the hunting grounds to hunt, while still trying to preserve those who are innocent and may destroy the unworthies with whatever way they see fit.
How do you intend on interacting with other predators during a round? I do not intend to be a very talkative type, unless anything major has happened in the hunting grounds, such as if the queen de-ovis, more humans come, and events like that. He is generally respectful towards all of his brethren but may quarrel with them if the time arises. He knows that everyone has their prefered hunting style and respects this. He does enjoy talking with his brothers before the hunt and asking if they have any specific trophies that they want to take, or may ask about why they hunt the way they do. He listens to his brothers, taking good advice whenever he can and applies it to his hunting techniques. He often recalls back to his past trophies and may boast about something he past hunted in the past.
Why do you want a predator whitelist? I would like to receive a predator whitelist because it opens up a new way for me to play the game. I love being the side antagonist to a battle and I am very interested in the many ways predators are able to roleplay with all factions in the game. Predators add a lot of fast paced combat to the game, but also can add very slow and orderly roleplay to the game, which I am very much interested in. I have had many fun and exciting experiences with predators and I wish to have more by receiving a predator whitelist, they spice rounds up in many different ways too. I want to create a fun and eerie theme to the game, and my playstyle will cater to this. I have been apart of the Colonial Marines community for a quite some time and have proved that I am able to be trusted with the mentor position, and I would call myself a very active and friendly member in the community. I have been roleplaying much more frequently, and I have been picking more roleplay focused roles such as the CL, researcher, and survivor. When I play those roles, I play them well and roleplay properly.
Do you understand that any player - donor or otherwise - can have their whitelist status revoked should they break our rules or disobey the Predator Code of Honor? Yes
