Bodyblocking and how it loses xenos the game

This is a public service announcement for any new Xeno players that may not have thought of this before.

Bodyblocking is when you get in the way of someone elses movement and prevent them from moving in the direction they want. This can be good offensively like getting between a marine and his exit so he cant escape. This is terrible however when you body block your xeno team mate and block their escape.

When you see a xeno getting shot and hes trying to go through you that means you are in his way. Sidestep them or turn around so they dont get killed. You getting a few slashes or whatever is not worth losing a teammate for. Xenos also tend to scatter when something bad is coming like an RPG. If you dont turn and run with them you too will get smoked by the RPG.

This goes 10x for the Queen. So many Queens die because of bodyblocking in tight cooridors when she charges to screech. The queen is going to be taking all of the focused fire when marines see her charging to get that screech off. Do not get in the Queens way when she tries to GTFO there after being blasted 15 times. You are literally throwing the game by getting the Queen (the most important and powerful xeno) killed. Your job is literally to protect the Queen and this is the opposite. Please be mindful of your team mates and work together to keep each other alive.

    Additional PSA to runners:

If you're fighting in a rather narrow area, and there's already many other xenos: STAY AWAY, YOU'RE NOT USEFUL HERE. YOU'LL ONLY BODYBLOCK AND GET MEMED BY FOCUS FIRE OF MARINE FRONTLINE

Be like "Hey guys, the marines are assaulting, t2's stay out of the way okay?"
It's easy to type that before charging into a body block situation.

Some won't see it, either due to them being occupied when that message hit or they're just blind and don't read chat ever.

1 second can be the difference of whether you get critted or not. You can warn or tell them beforehand all you want but when it comes to combat, most people just turn their brain off.

That makes me sad. If people foster that behavior it becomes the norm and it's to be expected. Everyone has an active part in changing it.

Unless you are planning to create a eugenics program to breed perfect players, that's not going to happen.

Honestly, you can't expect lesser xenos to be able to focus all that much in the middle of combat.

If you want them to be aware of situations, that is a job for an ovied queen, who has all the time in the world to update her swarm and give orders, and since her text is big and purple, it is very hard to miss.

A shame a lot of queens don't really seem to care for the whole "commanding the swarm" thing, and often try to get into combat as soon as they can. Combat queening may work, sure, but still, you give up the ability to coordinate and communicate (and to see beyond what a normal xeno sees) in return for the ability to scream really loudly. Which doesn't always work, depending on how prepared the marines are.
