    Overall Story:
Whiskey canyon is located on LV-624. As colonists from the lV-624 colony set up mining operations, they found a particularly rich mining deposit westwards of the original colony.

Digging a tunnel westward to allow for easy access, a mining sub-colony was set in a depression of Whiskey Canyon. Work was then commenced to set up a hydrodam in the canyon to set up a solid power supply for all colonists activities, as well as setting up a large water reserve for both colony and mining operations. As the mining operations continued, weird temples were unearthed and contact to W-Y corporate higher ups notified.

W-Y mercenaries, scientists, and professional engineers soon arrived after the notification. The new security and research detachment restricted access to the canyon to only company loyal employess, and proceeded to build a heavily reinforced security gate blocking access from the colony to the Whiskey Canyon site. From then on out, anything that happened in whiskey canyon, would for all intents and purposes, stay in whiskey canyon.

As time wore on, W-Y scientists realized that a large isolated jungle that Whiskey Canyon led to was actually heavily infested with xenomorph creatures. Now with the large river that used to flow through the wiskey canyon reduced to a mere trockle of its former self, Xenomorphs were beginning to move into the whiskey canyon area, and by extension, the whiskey canyon mines.

To reduce the chances of any aliens spreading further out, W-Y automated sentry guns were installed onto the canyons walls, as well as creating a string of reinforced observation bunkers for both scientists and W-Y military assets. To help speed up the ability for science, a small landing area was blown out of the canyons walls for a small landing and observation craft to make runs around the xenomorph jungle area in safety.

As a few months passed, W-Y scientists realized the xenomorphs were forcefully trying to make their way through the canyon, and that with current PMC numbers, it would only be time before the entire canyon outpost was overrun, and by extension, the rest of the colony as well. An emergency call to W-Y higher ups allowed for the deployment of the (relatively) nearby USM ship, the Alamayer.

Its been some time since that emergency call went out, and the W-Y PMC's are on their last rounds of ammunition. The Alamayer has almost arrived, and the need to hold the line has only grown.

    Objectives:

    - Defend the Whiskey Canyon hydro power plant and control tower.
Loss of this point means there will be loss of power throughout the map, and loss of the nearby mortar pit. Loss of power will also release the magnetic locks that keep the security tunnel door closed, leaving only the manual security bolts left to seal it.

    - Defend the Whiskey Canyon Mining Outpost.
(Loss of the Mining outpost will cut comms for the rest of the map, as well as loss of munitions and medical support.)

    Special Map Stuffs:
    - The map would be built around 2 fronts of combat. The main canyon floor, where a majority of alien attacks will be happening, and the inner caves and upper canyon, where flanking attacks and supportive elements will be based.

    - There are a 2 gondola bridges, allowing for marines in the upper canyon to move between the two canyon wall sections. (Repurposed Cargo Lift)

    - Canyon wall bunkers are located behind uncross-able floors, to allow for any marines to shoot out (toss grenades, snipe, fire m56's), but neither side to come in. Bunkers can be accessed by ladders and canyon tunnels.

    - Aliens can move around via tunnels, holes, and mining air vents so they can keep ambushing the sides.

    - Marines can move from the lower floor to the upper canyon caverns via mining elevators, ladders, and occasional canyon switchback.

    - Canyon wall turrets are powerful, short ranged, and controlled in sections via bunker controls. They can be reloaded and reaimed by retracting them back into the canyon bunker system.

    - There are plenty of mining holes for aliens to flank around, as well as a few c4 charges to destroy a few of them. C4 is dangerous, and also can cause small cave ins that can gib people in the wrong spots.

    - Standing on the canyon walls is dangerous, walking off the ledge will gib people, watch your step while sniping.

    - There are small areas locked off from PMC marines. They are sealed to prevent xenomorphs from flanking the marines. Destroying the seals gives more gear and interesting locations, but aliens will find it even easier to flank attack

    - Aliens can do limited climbing on the canyon side walls, with a small chance every so often of falling off and gibbing themselves.

    - Holding the south landing port will bring back an ERT halfway through the round. Either surviving PMC's/Scientists returning from the deep jungle depths, or possibly an alien ERT, taking a free ride. or nothing, life is life as they say.
