    Yautja Character Story
As I surveyed the training area from atop my vantage point on a tree thick with vines, I spotted four unblooded beginning to gang up on a single opponent. The training area itself was located at the edge of a jungle, with its north, east, and south dense with jungle, but it's west revealing a large cliff at least two kilometres between it and the ground. There was a trail that led back to the main tribe to the southeast, but at night it was quite dangerous to be upon. The runt only require minimal effort to deal with, yet from what I could tell, the young one had been trying to provoke all of them to fight him because no one believed the runt to be capable to defend against anything, let alone a Vy'drach which the four unblooded below were training for. The small one, which was the title most gave him, had eventually proclaimed that they were all cowards and were too afraid to attack him because they believed that they would lose, and the lot of them had been there for the past two hours training. Knowing the group, I knew they could only take so much during those two hours before they would think to be rid of him.

I slowly made my way down the thick trunk of the tree by the vines that were hanging off it, but while I was making my way down the leader of the four unblooded in all but title swiftly closed the gap between himself and 'small one' and lifted him up by a thick strand of his hair. Ta'stap was his given name, but most referred to him simply as Stomp because he wasn't quite light footed, and when he walked it sounded as if he never knew the ground could hold his weight, so when he walked he usually made holes in the ground where he once was. By the time I arrived to intervene Stomp was threatening to throw him off the cliff and be rid of him. I informed Stomp and the rest of his small group of followers that the time for training was over for their group and that others needed to use it, upon which Stomp was pleased to go, but he needed to persuade the rest of his followers that it's best they part from the small one. As loud as Stomp stomp's where he could forever be showed to reason and wouldn't give in to anger unless it was under constant provocation.

The small one began to thank me, but I informed him that he best get lost as well, for I may have stopped him from disappearing that day but it doesn't mean that I look at him as one of importance. The Small one, like myself, was one born of a mother and a father, yet unlike him, where he had both his parents to utilize for 'support' if you could call it that, I had just my father. The Small ones name was KavirMogh, and I believed that once I left my clan that would be the last I saw of him, yet how wrong I was... My father didn't stay for long after my birth though, and my mother had died the day after I saw my third rotation of the moons during a hunt. Eventually, the small one parted from me and began to head back to the village as I made my way to my petite shrine. A centre for learning.

I was usually found there when I was younger, praying and learning what I could. For instance, how much heat we could sustain before burning, or how the creation of one thing could inspire, while the creation of another could bring fear. I couldnt say that as a child I had much friends within my life. Most were just those of equal age, but who strived to simply hunt for treasures and renown. Yet that was something I couldnt really relate to. Yes, I may be a Yautja, yet I wasnt brought up the same as everyone else. I was in-charge of my own upbringing. Yes, I was given food, along with a place to sleep, upon other things...but I wasnt told of what our culture was. There, I was left to my own devices in discovering who we were. History, has been one of the subjects I enjoy the most, yet, the history I read into, was one of studies, not one of hunting.

With my mother dead and my father lost to me amongst the stars, I was left in the care of my brothers and sisters of the clan. Thanks to them, I learned of the gods along with the stories of our forefathers, but not of who we were as a people. Amongst all those gods I found two to be the most interesting. Nytara, God of Creation, and the Demigoddess S'ahul, Goddess of Wisdom and Courage. From an early age, I knew there was more to life than simply hunting for glory and renown. I believed that honour was the most valuable aspect in our society, one which could be procured from a path of science and study. Thus, in that mind set I went forth, trying to learn as much as I could about anything and everything within the galaxy. For instance, finding out how we became so technologically advance if all we focused on was hunting.Yet the answer to that has only been speculated. Either someone bestowed upon us the tools to hunt throughout the galaxy or we had obtained this knowledge ourselves when we weren't solely focused on hunting. Some believe we were made by what the humans call the 'Engineers.' Or that we were given these tools by them. The truth might never be known. Knowledge doesn't come just from books, but also experiences. Lest that be from the loss of loved ones, the death of a clan, studying one's body while it's still alive... amongst other things. That's the path I believed was right for me. A path of knowledge, yet also, a path of hunting. But for what I hunt for differs from others. While I hunt for knowledge, the majority of others hunt for renown. To have a place and a clan of their own.

I didnt believe that Nytara would have created the universe just for an endless hunt..there must be something more, something which we had not discovered yet. Of course, I would go on hunts and such, but it was a part of an act in which I had to play. One which I forced upon myself. I do not believe we were created to solely hunt beings which were possible equals to us, but that we were meant to discover something...something old, ancient...but something that was meant for us to find, which would light our way and evolve us into more than what we are now, without the need to splice our genes with other species. But possibly, find a gene serum which could evolve us on a scale so immensely that we could change the galaxy, once again.

So that is where I find myself. I know that others may find it strange that I find knowledge to be among my top priorities, yet, if we became more technologically advanced... We might discover a better prey then the xenomorphs. One which is even fiercer to fight. Or... we could possibly create one. A being as cunning as humans, as agile and numerous of the Xenos, and as strong as a Yautja. a being which could surpass maybe even us in combat and skill. Yet, the creation of a being which could cause us to go extinct would be against everything I have been taught, yet the path of faith and the path of creation cannot be intertwined for long. For one may create a being that the gods never intended to be made, and thus, bring a curse down upon themselves and their kin. The reason I chose this path I believe was because I realized from an early age that life is a small flick in the span of the galaxy, and one can leave it just like that. Like my mother. Thus, I believe I owe it to her to find out why life occurs this way and why we don't simply live forever. Yet the most challenging thing I find to deal with is the Yautja who find my path... disturbing. Thus the reason I took an oath of silence, yet Im allowed to speak under certain...conditions. Fore if you never speak, then one may never learn what you do and what one has become

Thankfully, my Clan Chieftain never specified exactly what my parameters in speaking with others were. So, I used it to my advantage and made them myself. The times Im allowed to speak are those in which me or a brother/sister are in a dire situation and require support immediately. Yet, the situation must be a life or death one. I never took an oath of silence against other species as well, thus allowing me to talk with them if I see fit to do so. And the last time Im permitted to speak is when required to talk with a Council Member, Clan Chieftain, or Elder. Yet, from being the only person in my Clan to go under an oath of silence, there are no punishments if I choose to break it. Thus, it allows me to talk with those whom I believe to be close to me, and also gives me an excuse to not talk with others. Eventually, after construction the rules to this oath, I presented it to the Clan Chieftain and he accepted them, and went on to make it the Status Quo for any within the Clan who chose to undergo the oath. Thankfully for me, no one else did. Fore if they broke it within the clan that could result in them being brought before the Clan Chieftain and a punishment being created.

After leaving the Clan, I started a Journal which would dictate my findings, along with another which could record my thoughts during my travels. In my study Journal, if youd call it that It currently contains multiple species which could be used in multiple manners. Going from prey which could be hunted, to medical use and those which were poisonous. If I can leave at least one thing behind, these journals I keep would be it. Something which could show the progress over the years that Ive made towards my final goal, yet if they were destroyed...I would hunt the being which destroyed the journals, find them, and make them and anyone else they hold dear pay for its destruction. Even if that resulted in my own death or banishment.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Several years later

Eventually, my Clans Chieftain called on me asking me to investigate what once was our temple, now long abandoned. But, from what my Chieftain informed me, was that this temple was now being ransacked by the Humans under the corporation of Weyland-Yutani. A corporation which has long sought after our gear for reasons Im quite intrigued to find out for myself. Thus allowing me to undertake this assignment, not just for the benefit of Yautja, but for myself as well. Yet, the Chieftain did have a catch to this. I was required to take a partner and another Yautja would meet us on the Planet. This would hinder my plans on gathering information because Im not certain how anyone could react to this, it would also mean I was required to speak at certain times...Something Id rather not have to undergo.

Luckily, my luck turned while I was contemplating what I would do. I received a visitor and from what my memory could remember, it was the Small One, the one which I saved several years ago. He told me he owed me a blood debt on account of how his fathers actions resulted in the death of my mother, something I had no knowledge on. The Clan itself never sought to inform me of what happened to my parents. What I do know is my father fled for reasons unknown, and my mother died in a hunt. Yet I never got the details on how. Luckily, the runt believed his father to be responsible and perhaps he was telling the truth, giving me the possibility to finally learn, at the very least, my mothers fate.

I allowed the runt to offer me this blood debt and to serve me until I feel it was completed yet it was under one condition. That was that he would follow my commands without difficulty and would assist me in my research, no matter the cost. Thankfully, he happily agreed. The only thing that remained for me to do before heading towards the ship to depart for the temple, was a prayer to Nytara and Sahul, something which could possibly give me good fortune in the task to come.

After completing the prayers, I needed to go find the Small One and inform him it was time we got underway with the mission and left for the temple. Yet, I couldnt find him anywhere within the village, thus I was left with one option, and that was to check the training grounds. I took the trail towards the grounds, yet over the years, the trail had gotten thicker with vegetation and vines, getting so dense that in some parts youd be unable to pass through. I myself had to find at least two different routes through before I eventually gave up on the trail and just stuck with jumping from tree to tree. Eventually I came to the grounds themselves, which had grown into disrepair on account of plenty of our members leaving for mightier clans, with only a few Yautja remaining at the Village. He seemed to be training with a Combistick, throwing it into a tree, then, once retrieved, proceeding to cut the tree away, or at least try to. With the trees surrounding the training arena, there was no doubt that hed be unable to cut or wound any of the trees surrounding here. After watching him bat at the tree for a few minutes more, I eventually called down to him and informed him to meet me at the Scout ship so we could finally meet with this other Hunter at the temple.

Once the Small one arrived on board the vessel and was prepared to depart, I began our ascent into the atmosphere of the planet, then proceeding to enter the coordinates towards the temple. Looking to me right, it seemed the Small One was praying to the gods as well, different from the ones I prayed to, yet still within the same Patheon. I didnt bother to continue listening to what he was praying for and proceeded to enter the final coordinates needed for launch. Eventually, I completed my task and we were finally underway towards the Temple, yet once we arrived, we wouldnt find ourselves completely and utterly...alone.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Entering the System

The alarm on the sensors quickly chimed into action the moment we arrived within the system. As I sought to see what the sensors picked up, The Small one pointed towards the ship to our Starboard. A Ship the sensors identified as a Bougainville Class Vessel, a vessel of Weyland-Yutani. Thankfully, the cloaking field on our ship was already activated, thus we had no need to panic as of yet on whether it would open fire on us or not. Yet, from what we could hear over our Comms device, was no dialect of english. It gave me pause, for I had no idea that Humans had a language other than English, but then I recalled what the Clan Chieftain had stated before we had to undergo this mission.

Our temple has been trespassed upon by these Humans, yet, it seems that they have proceeded to attack each other. From what we have detected, the buildings the Humans have constructed on the Planet have sent a distress signal, yet those who arrived to help, proceeded to fire down upon them and have sent multiple vessels down, before jumping away once more. Your task is to activate a self destruct device within the temple and get rid of these trespassers. Once that is done, report back to me.

We eventually found our way towards the W-Y outpost on the western side from the main research facility. As the Small one looked about the facilities, I made by way towards the Outposts information centre, which should contain information on why they were within the area. Yet, from what I could tell, there wasnt a Human in sight. There were bodies here and there which had small holes within them, yet they looked as if they have been dead for at least a day or two. Once I arrived in the Information Centre, I went about downloading information from their computers to try and register the situation here. From what I could tell, the ship we first encountered when we arrived had entered the system four days ago to the distress call of the W-Y members on the planet. It had maintained radio silence until the second day, upon which it opened fire down below, dealing damage to the Weyland-Yutani buildings, and killing a few humans, yet no count is reported on the console. Afterwards, they sent down multiple dropships, landing multiple hostile parties which began to attack the W-Y members and their small contingency of United States Colonial Marines. Eventually, they pulled back towards the Main Research facility, and once that fell, they all fled into the temple. Since then, there has been no contact from any Weyland-Yutani members other than a few assault synths who are roaming the outposts in groups, attempting to clear it of all hostiles. From what I saw, the hostiles the console kept referring to was the UPP. Along with the mention of two Predators. One which had already been reported dead within the barracks to my east, flayed alive. Yet, not by these humans, but by another Yautja. A bad blood.

Continuation of the story can be located here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1...it?usp=sharing

Describe how your Yautja acts, and how you intend to play them
A'dti, is one who investigates and stalks his prey over running in and simply attempting to kill his intended target(s) without planning. He is also more inclined to think heavily on his actions over simply running in, attacking everything in sight. Knowledge, in the sense of your prey, is a very important concept. One which is much more important to gather than easy prey. Since a large body count of lesser beings and a small body count of higher beings may be equal in weight, larger beings can see you be given much more respect. Especially when you take down prey tougher than most species. Not to mention the possible havoc that could be caused resulting from the death of one who is currently ordering their troops. To kill these worthy prey, information must be gathered to assist the Yautja in their hunt. Thus, I intend to play them in the sense where they don't eradicate everything they see but instead aim for prey which is worthy enough for possibly a duel of honour or to be made the last surviving opponent during a hunt. Thus, hunting those which can impact the many, over hunting those which can only impact the few. Or in the opposite sense, hunt the many which can impact the few, over hunt the few which could impact the many. One results in the many becoming un-organized while the other results in the few becoming ruthless.

Along with that, A'dti rarely speaks and will state his agreement or disagreement with differentiating shakes of the head. For instance, nodding or shaking his head. The times at which he does speak would be those he believes to be important, where the result of him remaining silent can impact the life of others. He is also quite bookish and will usually reserve himself from others to either pray or to learn what he can of the species he is currently hunting. Lest that be from their anatomy or their psychology. He'll try to Learn everything and anything that he can use to his advantage while hunting his prey.

Yet, thats not all. Adti will also talk with his prey to try and determine if they can assist him on his quest or in his research. Depending on who he talks to, he may stay his blade, or he might go on to kill them. His goals are in the order of gaining knowledge, gaining honour, then finally, hunting itself. Yet, hunting is a piece of knowledge that he must gain as well, as all Yautja must do. Yet the way they all go about it is roughly the same. Something Adti will do differently. Instead of doing the basic; hunt prey, kill prey, gain trophy, then leave the grounds. Hell be hunting a prey, yet also interacting with it. Seeing what it knows and what it can do. Testing its skill set, along with its communication skills. If its proven that the prey hes currently hunting has an above average intelligence, hell most likely attempt to talk with it and gain information, then proceed to take its head along with the brain for study, to learn as to why it has a higher intelligence than others. If one could learn as to why a certain being acts as it does, it might be possible to change that behaviour to others and attempt to increase their overall intelligence with genetic engineering. But to do that, you need subjects, along with information gathered in every way accessible.

In your own words, describe the difference between an honor duel and a hunt
An honor duel is a fight to the death between two combatants. One whom is the challenger, who is a Yautja, whilst the opponent is a being that the Yautja deems worthy enough to fight in a duel between just the two of them. But it must abide by the Yautja code of honour in the sense that the opponent is worthy prey. The challenged, if they do not have their own mle weapon, must have it be provided by the Yautja and it must be up to par to that of the Challenger. The duel may only be between the two of them and no ranged weapons can be utilized.

On the other hand, a hunt can have multiple participating Yautja if the one in charge of the hunt allows them to participate. It can also consist of multiple preys that have been deemed worthy, but unworthy prey may reveal itself during the hunt. Yet they do not need to be terminated in a duel of honour. A duel of honour can happen within a hunt but a hunt within a duel of honour may not. Usually, a duel of honor within a hunt is when the prey hunted by the pursuer is seen as one with a cunningness higher than the rest of his comrades. And skill that is almost close to the Yautja's own. A hunt may also use the full arsenal of the pursuer as long as it falls within the bounds of the code of honour. For instance, a Yautja cannot use their self destruct simply to get the prey which is overwhelming them away, then turn it off moments later. A hunter's prey must also be one that the Yautjas deem as a challenge. So a hunt cannot be for deer, like in our society. Instead, it would be like us hunting a tiger, or a Yautja hunting a xenomorph. If a Yautja is hunting a prey which is not a challenge to the Yautja's skill, then that hunt is deemed unworthy with the prey he has killed gaining the Yautja nothing.

How do you intend on interacting with other predators during a round?
A'dti isn't one who talks for the most part. Usually, he keeps to himself, and when it's utmost required will speak. Otherwise, he will simply allow one to continue talking, only saying something when he truly has something to say. He mostly registers the current situation in his head, trying to find the most efficient and honorable path which can bring him and his brothers and sisters victory. He won't support other Yautja blindly in their actions and before a hunt will usually say a prayer to the gods, praying for a successful and knowledgeable hunt.

It does best to always process and think about one's action and reaction to an event, especially in the case of humans, fore, we as a species, are much more economical in our decision making. Using opportunity cost in our daily lives. Meaning A'dti and his brothers and sisters will also be using it. The cost being the benefit of doing one thing over another. For instance, breathing over not breathing, and so forth. Thus, he puts himself in the shoes of his prey, thinking whether or not it's more beneficial to hide or to fight.

Along with that, A'dti believes that not everyone deserves respect since respect is but one side of a coin. With honor being the other side. One that A'dti find more valuable. If they are honorable and have proven so, then they shall have his respect. Especially if they respect their prey. Otherwise, he will only hold contempt for them.

Adti will mostly not talk with other Yautja. But he will gladly attempt to communicate with Humans and other beings, along with hunting them. If he finds someone he believes can help him in his quest to find out about life and death, he will gladly sacrifice killing them over gaining new knowledge which he can use. He uses his oath of silence to his advantage in the sense he was told he wasnt permitted to speak to OTHER Yautja and in that sense he uses it to achieve goals without other Yautja finding out. But if a Yautja does find out about Adtis secret goals, depending on what the Yautja thinks of it, hell attempt to duel them in a duel of Honour. Yet if the Yautja supports him in what hes trying to discover, he might attempt to ask for their assistance in small things until he knows he can trust them. Once he knows hes able to trust them, hell attempt to bring them in the fold and have them help him in his path to discover what the Yautja were meant for.

Why do you want a predator whitelist?
I would like to be a Yautja to discover more of the game in the sense of the paths that can be taken within it, but also to see more than the standard, marines vs aliens type of experience. When a Predator is hunting it's prey, depending on the prey, people either intervene or stay as far back as they can. If the Predator is going after the Queen or Empress of the Hive, then the Xeno's will be more inclined to defeat it than the marines would be, while if the Predator is focusing more on the Commanding Officer of the Marines... Then marines would be more inclined to deal with the Predator once it's intentions are known. Both of those targets could have major outcomes on the whole game, especially if one side has the upper hand then suddenly loses it's CO or Queen which could cause instability within a team, perhaps even making one team lose the advantage and go on to completely change the course of the game. Along with that, I find it would be an interesting Role playing experience to be a predator. Being there simply for a worthy hunt over being there to upset the natural balance of things.

Yet not just for that. Id also liked to be a Yautja for the experience of the role and playing as one in general, along with the possibility of gaining new skills. Throughout the game youre required to use basic skills, but also more complex ones, such as critical thinking. I believe that Yautja would have to use more a skill such as that than most players. Adding on the fact of needing to plan ahead, not having anyone to save you at certain times, choosing valid prey, and so forth. Making the role itself a different aspect from others. Going on with the skill set needed, Yautja are more inclined in choosing actions which go with their character over following orders. For instance, a Yautja could choose to capture a Marine or Alien and, if that Yautja is blood thirsty, have them both fight to the death, or he could experiment on them. Study them. Open them up and see whats inside, what makes them hurt. Maybe even take off all their limbs but attempt to keep them alive until theyre just a head and a body. Yet, doing that would probably mean you would have to do it under the noises of other Yautja, which can result into highly entertaining RP moments in which the game is no longer the more fighting based side of the game but more of the We found a Yautja keeping prey alive but studying them...what should we do with them? Perhaps the Yautja purposely gives gear to a marine so he has a reason to board the Almayer so he won't just retrieve that technology but also a being he finds would be interesting to study.(Of course not going in the direction in which the rules are broken, but are still sustained.)

On the experience side of things, you have something entirely new. Something as original as time itself. The building of skills. Knowledge. The experience of playing as a Yautja gives more than just the basic hunt-prey relationship. But also the sense of being your own person, or...proving yourself. Becoming more than what you are. Sure, you could do that as a Xeno along with a Human, yet they all have different sets in which those skills are tested. Of course, as a Xeno, you can focus more on ambush tactics, or building. Maybe even frontline fighting. As a praetorian you might go as far as to plan tactics with your Queen and advance the hives size from a small hive to a hive with over 50 souls within it. As a marine you of course have multiple roles, consisting of leading, playing doctor, building, and more. Yet in the sense of Yautja You have all those combined into one. A Yautja could choose to make a trap for multiple prey, fight them head on, play doctor and try to heal those who are close to death to become prey later on The options being close to limitless.

I strive to know more than I know at this given moment and playing as a Yautja is a trial I starve to undertake. That wouldnt just increase my personal knowledge on the game itself, but also thinking ahead and planning tactically. Sure, I may do the charge head on, generic Predator thing. But thats only to see if I can take things which are generic and make them my own thing. Take a bit from medic, a tad from Staff Officer, a chunk from here and there. Create something new, something original. Of course, to go that far requires trials and errors. But over time that can lead to something new. Something which I plan to achieve, no matter what.

So, to answer the question of why I would like to be whitelisted... I would like to be whitelisted to increase my own knowledge, the knowledge of others, gain experience which I could use in my day to day life and learn. Along with that, to assist others with achieving what they want and helping them in the creation of applications.

Do you understand that any player - donor or otherwise - can have their whitelist status revoked should they break our rules or disobey the Predator Code of Honor?
    Yes

A good story written by an exceptional player. Achillies is a great guy and definitely deserves a chance at the role in my opinion for various reasons. Along side writing his own application achillies has helped me every step of the way with writing my own, also allowing me to share in using his character for my own story. Im fairly certain that without Achillies id still be staring at an empty google doc with no idea of what to do and no motivation to continue.

Very good and helpful player overall, good RPer, and a great guy. No one is more worthy of the role and id definitely recommend giving him a chance, you wont regret it.

Yeah... went a little extreme in the sense of words. Sorry about that.

Going to say this is an exceptional application. You went above and beyond the requirements of a predator application, and I can say going through the story it was very enjoyable. All of your answers were excellent, and you aren't a bad player. +1

Thank you all! Glad to see the story was entertaining and wasn't an eyesore.

I'll give my plus 1, story was a good read and showed your knowledge of Yautja lore. I have seen you play many command and support roles and I know you're not a shitter in game, and you have put immense effort into your application. While I am not the biggest fan of the whole silent type, that isn't a big deal and you have my vote.

    +1
