    This is something the aliens have desperately needed for a while, if nothing other than just getting more people to play xeno. I know for most marine mains, playing xeno can be dull in comparison because you�re always anonymous and there�s little interaction with each other. While the side effects could be the aforementioned elitism and snowflake-ism, I don�t think it would impact the gameplay that much at all negatively. At the very least it would create some interesting dynamics between xeno players. Besides which, it doesn�t deviate that much from the lore at all. In the films and extended universe we have often seen aliens develop their own distinct personalities or interact with each other in ways that show they can behave independently of the hive mind. But more than anything, getting more people interested in playing xeno would be a big boon for both sides, and probably lead to better balance. I think a lot of the current imbalance issues come from players not being interested in Xenos for this very reason, which results in them being buffed and overpowered by devs.

    That's just... messy though. Needing to associate a ckey with a number for a round when the number is always changing is kinda gross. Also, while I know that it's been explicitly allowed, it still seems kind of like it's circumventing the spirit of a system that's been put in place.

    Wait, if it's been explicitly allowed, why do devs and admins seem to have a problem with this suggestion? It just circumvents the need to LOOC your ckey at the start of every round.

    Personally I think the change would be fine as it would make Xenos actually able to identify leader candidates and work in a cohesive unit (LIKE A HIVEMIND SHOULD BE ABLE TO) instead of every Xeno just ungaing their own strategy because they can't trust anyone around them to be reliable.

    There's really no good argument against it at all, 'Oh people will meta names' 'More work for staff'

    The community definitely wants it and it'd help encourage people to play xeno.
