out of those 3, what do you want from this game the most?
imo it tends to be that, the more this game is of 1 of them, the other 2 tend to suffer

i think fun and balance have to be balanced because otherwise we are just corporate mercs if we only focus on fun. and if we are only balanced it becomes unfun. Realism shouldnt matter 1 iota imo cause nothing about the source is realistic and we arent an arma unit.
Well, I want more realism in the larger scope while still keeping combat captivating and balanced... so, fun, I guess
tricky, I'd say balance.
realism isnt specifically referring to the source material, but of the way mechanics and notions of this 'world' we play in work
ex) giving xenos names breaks percived realism, which is (one of the reasons) why we don't have it
ex) the way weapons interact (or dont), normally firing a rocket at a xeno, even the queen, would kill it easily, but for the sake of fun + balance, we don't let that happen
ex) roundstart RP/RP in general are forms of realism we have, trying to make everyone IC act like their character
could the game be fun + balanced without those? yes, but it exists and therefore matters as consequence because to some extent we aim to keep a level of realism
fun refers to things like replayability, enjoyment, etc
balance is self explanatory
Am I right, or am I wrong.jpg
It should make everything clear.
They're not mutually exclusive
I want realism at a large scale, I want sound lore, I want people acting like people I want realism in my RP.
Combat tho, balance, because when the fightings happening RP isn't, so keep the fighting balanced so the RP has it's room where the fighting isn't happening and everyone can have their fun.
Fun is kinda an odd choice of words maybe. Like, is an unbalanced, or at least grossly unbalanced gay unrealistic? I'd say it's not fun but maybe some people would find realism to be more balanced then an unrealistic alternative.
