Description of the incident: Post-briefing, myself and a few of my Squad-mates were having a locker-shove competition. We are about to jump aboard the Alamo to deploy and the Researcher, Fuuma Yatagarasu, comes up to me and says he 'needs me'. They then inject me with an autoinjector labled 'pump up'. I did not consent to being injected nor had much time to react BUT I had assumed it was harmless. At first, nothing happens. I make my way and then start to realise I'm taking damage out of nowhere. Obviously from the autoinjector.
I make my way into medbay and I am placed on Dialysis and enter crit. I ahelp the issue and I am shown a log that the autoinjector contained an overdose of Hyperizine. I am ahealed by Dubszor and go on my way. Having missed initial deployment and a solid 15+ minutes of the round wasted.
I end up being picked off alone trying to reach my Squad at Eta.
I informed the Military Police ICly of the issue. They do, as expected: Fuck all. The Researcher, to my knowledge, was not brigged for an Assault Charge. Even though it was borderline murder as I would of likely died without medical treatment. The MPs who I spoke to ICly about the incident 'lacked sufficient evidence' to arrest the Researcher despite a doctor informing them of the incident also.
Dubszor informed me of the policy that the person reporting an issue is not told of the sentence and told me he 'dealt with it'. I won't question what his sentencing was but this was clear cut grief and the player who inflicted it seemed to be entirely uneffected, both ICly and OOCly.
There was comment from them of their action being a 'mistake'. I do not believe injecting someone with Hyperizine without discernible reason or without request is a mistake. There was also talk of a Researcher handing out 'free drugs' just before deployment and it is likely other people were effected by being ODed.
I'm not unhappy with how Dubszor handled the incident else I'd be filing a staff report, I'm unhappy with (if there even was) the outcome.
Evidence (screenshots, logs, etc):
How you would punish the accused: Either a 3 hour ban or a temporary Researcher/Medical ban.
Medical, research included, have lots of power to help and even boost Marines. Abusing this is crippling and often the victim is powerless to do anything about it. Even ICly. Bald surgeons messing up surgery is one thing, intentionally poisoning Marines is another.
