    Larva Hiding in Bodies

Came up with this in the other thread.

What would you think of allowing larva to hide inside of dead bodies? The goal being to hide until you get on the ship and then run amok, or hide while the hive is being attacked.

It would allow more ways for the queen to send people ship-side, at the expense of having larva that may not be helping for a while. Give more options for play, generally be a bit more exciting.

Marines can counter this by putting dead bodies in the morgue (morgue cold instantly kills hiding larva) and in body bags for transport (which the larva will have to chew out of making noise and taking some time).

For clarity, the larva would have to a larva first, then crawl to a corpse and get in it (gross). Then hide until it wants to escape. It would take some time to climb inside, but could burst out. Larva cannot hide inside someone who has already burst.

As long as larva hiding in bodies don't count toward round end triggers, it's not a terrible idea.

This would not be a good addition. Xeno numbers tend to be low enough without larvas going on suicide missions.
Going up without being able to heal sucks anyway.

Im with lurkermain. I also think it would increase larva just straight getting killed trying to go to the front to find bodies to get into which is something people already get job banned for.

Well having presented an idea I thought was good, to get middling/negative response from the community I would like to petition to be made an honorary dev.

We are too good for you.

Larvas getting into the Almayer exists more as a punish for incompetence on the part of medical or dumb-fuck PFCs who dont get stasis'd or forget to get surgery. Reinventing the mechanic as another excuse for larva to do dumb shit is asking for trouble and unending piles of salt on both sides.

Yes this would be a great idea because it would add more fear of the larva.

Oh no! Larvae! It will evolve into T1 that can't regenerate health! Fear it would produce could be compared to a mosquito and even then mosquitos spread diseasse. Bald beno mains who would hide in the bodies for one way ticket to Almayer would only spread autism.

Xenos already pick up autism for the marines they grow from.
