Reason for Ban

I killed a guy, excessive escalation, think I decapitated him. I did a lot of dumb stuff back in the day like 3-4 years ago.

I was a very violent aggressive player years ago. Often looking for a fight, quick to attack people over IC arguments, this came from old habits as often getting antag on other servers, and a former drinking problem where I would get blackout drunk and act like a fool. As anyone who has played with Brock Cavalet can surely attest, I am a solid, contributing marine, have not violated rules in like 3 years, and I would make a great spec or SL. I've been around since the olden days and want to start helping with leadership roles. If this ban gets lifted I will apply for whitelist of command positions as well and try to do good for the USCM.

Okay, those notes look bad I admit, but notice how they taper off over the years... please... I suppose we can start with specialist. Obviously it is beyond retarded to C4 yourself or any human at any time and I will never do anything like that again. If re-allowed into the spec role I will fulfill my duties properly, understanding that it is a limited and coveted role critical to the tide of battle.

This is pretty much telling me that you've not changed that much at all. With that said, I'd like to hear your side of the story about the listed notes.

First of all, I appreciate the chance to discuss these issues rather than a flat-out denial. That is courteous of the staff.

I honestly do not recall suiciding back in March. That is not something I typically do these days. Maybe I thought the round was ending soon, I genuinely don't remember that or what was going on that round. Whatever the reason, this will be a firm reminder to never suicide ever again even though I never do anymore. If I ever have to leave I head to cryo, and contact command if it's an important job, otherwise my SL or other boss. I will not suicide ever from this day forward in any scenario.

Regarding the mutiny, it was my first one I had participated in in years, and I did not remember in the thick of the CIC battle there were now rules against not permakilling, I was just chopping at the CO to sort of viscerally demonstrate our victory or whatever, it was a struggle of Charlie squad against command and MP's with lots of shooting and grenade explosions, quite a battle, but as soon as I was PMed I stopped immediately and I helped bring some dead to medical for revival. I have since participated in one or two mutinies without any such permakilling behavior. (These were all approved mutinies)

As to the incident with the glass, I was not the one who made the stack of glass, another marine did, and the TC was being bullied after destroying a bunch of cades and running over a bunch of marines, if I recall, so he was barefoot and I dragged him on the glass. I assure you I was truly shocked when it cut his feet like 30 times, I did not realize how many pieces were in the stack, it was my own stupid fault for not alt clicking to check, but in my many years of this game I've never seen a glass shard pile instantly kill someone and I had no thought of such a thing even being a possible outcome. I got him to a medic immediately too and he was defibbed and healed up.

Anyway I spend my rounds these days as Medic, Engi, PFC, SO, just trying to serve the operation and my fellow marines. I have been trying to demonstrate through action and contribution that I am a good player worth a chance. There are a number of respected marines who would vouch for how I have carried myself as Brock, despite my missteps over the years. Lately I have really been trying to just be useful, helpful, and friendly more than ever, trying to tell balds things in LOOC to help them out, and so on. I respect this community and wish to participate in another role because I think I would be a skilled and cautious spec who could be an effective asset to the squad.

So yeah, please consider my appeal. I won't make you regret it.

Alright, so, we've discussed it rather extensively among ourselves, and have come to the conclusion that due to the recent notes, it would not be appropriate to lift the ban at this time.

With that said, I encourage you to try to stay note free and re-appeal in 30 days, as I do believe you're doing better.
