people who don't get them regularly so its a big deal to them.

same people who think medals mean anything and aren't just a popularity contest.

Whats more indicative of skill is how many kills you get averaged over a long period of time. Especially times when xenos are the ones that are OP. Any baldie can use sniper with op flak before nerf and murder everyone. Any baldy can drive ltb tank and 1 shot xenos. Not every baldy can use old m41 that was shit and still rack up kills.
The only kills worth noting are survival knife kills
Also I wasn't aware people actively counted kills, the only time I ever "count" kills is if I'm having a really good round (and even then it's not really counting it's just trying to guess how many people i killed), like a round I had about a week ago where I dumpstered around 25 marines as a spitter on prison station when neuro was still useful and was still good for securing captures and kills

I don't think there's anything bad with counting kills if it makes the player feel better.

As I mostly play supportive roles, I think my highest killcount is... 4, as a medic, mostly by buckshotting lurkers. However, I got 40 successful fultons on Prison, which I am proud of.

Oh, I remember you, I was leading Bravo Squad in that day and you did a great job but truth may be told only fools count their kills and ask out for medals. The real robust and honorable soldier is the one who remain silent even if your actions are forgotten, one day they will discover your value.
