    Listen you damn 'Champion'. Winning is fun for either side and CM at it's core is not a roleplaying game but an asymmetrical massively multiplayer team deathmatch (Over 150 players duking it out). It's 80% of what everyone signs up for. The overwhelming numbers of Marines,Xenos far outweigh the single roleplaying roles like SOs and CL. So, in fact,a lot of people give a flying f--k.

    ya ya, after gutting shipside roles and railroading everything to death it's sure going to attract enough mouthbreathers to enjoy teamdeathmatch 24/7. No surprise there. Also what does it tell you that the majority of the playerbase want Zombie and HvH modes? They're tired of "duking it out".

    Because they want to 'duke it out' with a different setting rather than the HvX one ?

    Nah, it means they�re not interested in �winning� but in RPing with different scenarios and strategies. Do not pass go and collect 200. Try again.

    Not taking sides here but this is 100% not true. Almost every player mains combat roles, they are here for their PvP shit and little else. I can safely say from playing this game for a long while and a roleplay role at that aside from a small number of players nobody [ including devs :^) ] gives a shit about roleplaying, now there's a bunch of reasons why but the fact remains that most people are here to wordlessly blast the other side and they only care about HvH or zombies in so far as it allows them to deathmatch against something with a different sprite from usual.

    It's a tough pill to swallow but you have to at some point.

    yeah but that's only because the server has been incrementally designed that way to attract that type of player. If you wanted to make the server more RP friendly then it wouldn't be that hard or catastrophic.

    I don't remeber a time when CM was not like this. Idk, it think it'd be harder than just changing a couple things. Every gameplay mechanic is structured in such a way that gameplay>roleplay .
