Not arguing for or against it. Just an observation. Xenomorphs don't have eyes so they don't see marines. They have some other way of detecting things (pheromones/heat/something idk). So hiding under a bed wouldn't help with those. I don't really care either way cause lore doesn't matter.

Because they do, in fact, have eyes, kind of.

In the original Alien there are hollow eye sockets visible under the xeno's dome, but then in some comics they're stated to be a telepathic species and "see" with their mind.

It's better to cut the bullshit of comics and such. First three films, maybe even fourth (and novelisations) one as it doesn't brake the lore too much.

Benos don't see, they can spot organic, however they don't really see Synths as "human tool", or whatever. They spot movement, sound, probably something like echo-location. Ripley under a table, or in closet (not moving and breathing) is safe from those subtle sounds emmited by beno, because it is bouncing off the table, or closet.

No telepathic bullshit, no eyes.
