A fucking stat checker was added to CM, its a tdm now for sure. Delta has always been very memey but damn, I've played rounds recently where people are just silent.

If you want higher RP you need to enforce RP rules, look at any other server with RP to see. TBH if you want people talking fastest way to do that is have voice chat, shit you can look at say squad were it is pure TDM but people will act like well if they were being shot and all. The main gimmick is voice chat allows people to voice there emotions which is very very powerful

If you want more RP, remove defibb and make combat alot more dangerous. If people get removed from the round for 3 hours every time they die people wont charge in in the first 5 minutes and only play TDM. They might take it a little slower and actually communicate with each other. They might actually be scared of xenos instead of having to pretend to be scared of xenos. I know thats way too crazy of a concept.

Then people would stop to play marine, then benos would rock the sock enough to win 99% of the time, nobody would go slower, nobody would try to communicate as even few second stop to type can end up in death for 3 hours. HvH High RP can work only if both sides stand on a equal level. UPP and Marines do that, they can capture each other, they can interrogate each other, they can shoot each other, they can reenact situations from our history like X-Mass casefire, or such.
Go to some server that containts a lot of greytiders, tell them they can do whatever without RP, but order everyone who isn't assistant to heavy RP. People would be flood in insulated gloves - Gas Mask - Grey Jumpsuit - Toolbelt powergamers, great comparsion to benos and marines. One side heavy RP won't work.

To be fair, cloning was hardy all that different to the defib. The only difference was that it required hauling dead bodies back, but of course that wasn't a problem prior to pull being given the grab debuff.

Because it was new and fresh. Because cloning existed, because it was a server where equivalent of Assistant got a gun from the get go. Taking defib away when FF is the #1 cause of marine deaths is simply unfair.

I also have to admit that I was wrong in one part: Sides don't have to stand on equal level. The proof of it are Zombie Events. Zombie rounds are peak of nice, unforced medium to heavy RP. When the other side is slower, you have all the time you need to RP and all the reason to. Defending research trying to develop a cure, heroicly sacrifacing yourself to buy researchers some time, talking about what caused outbreak (and this sometimes isn't even a fluff speech), facing cowardly marines running away, pushing others into zombies just to survive, cool scenarios where you escape narrow hallway trough small wave of zombies, that feel of uncertain if that body lying over there won't stand up when I will walk past, those moments where you are infected and you desperately try to get a cure, brave volunteers who get infected on purpose and then go politely into locked Research cells to allow research to study them... CLF and Marines calling ceasefire when they realise that killing themselfs just makes more dead... And so on and so on.
Zombie rounds where zombies get majority are just a pleasure to play on both gameplay and RP levels.
Benos are as bland and boring as leaf of xenobread.
