    Main issue is rapid clearing of weeds make it hell for harassers to well harass. These days everyone just sits on windows as they dont loss the weeds, yet. Also because marines are lazy.

    Ethier make the weeds grow stupid rapid or revert the weed change. Yes it sucks to clear all the weeds but currently the easy weed removals help make metarushes easier as they rapidly clear are, makes harassing harder as weeds are very easily cleared, puts more pressure for drones which weakens the xeno force as a whole drones aren't the best fighters.

    Maybe make the weeds grow super fast to counter how fast they can burn off? I am not really sure how to fix it, but something needs to be done.
    At the moment it is kinda hell to play on the backlines as a runner/lurker. If I am hurt at all I have to run quite a ways back

    There's an entire caste of Xenos capable of planting new weeds for a negligible plasma cost. If drones and carriers aren't weeding then Xenos should be yelling that them to.

    If xenos aren't defending or fortifying the areas they deem vital to pushing against the marines then they really shouldn't be complaining if a small squad of marines removed their creep.

    If a Runner or Lurker is out solo harassing and gets injured, its on them to find a safe place to rest and heal up. The fastest mob in the game has no right complaining they have to move 30 seconds out of their way to find a safe spot to heal when marines have a 5-10 minute round trip to heal internal bleeding or get IB/Organ damage repaired.

    even if you remove harassers as a factor "because they are fast" or whatever the fact remains that even on the front lines xenos have no weeds. Grenades/fire/dudes hitting nodes creates a no mans land where drones and hivelords cant even replace the weed. So All t3 that are slow cant even do their job and fight on the front lines because theres no weeds for an entire screen before getting to the marines none the less where the marines are actually standing.


    if you want weeds to be stupid easy to kill then make nodes spread weeds 3 times as far and as fast as they die off (they die off in 3 seconds so get ready for weeds to spring up instantly) That way aliens can just keep spamming weeds while marines keep killing them. Also lets weeds spread EVERYWHERE even on grass. If you are gonna make it retardedly easy to clear then make it literally spammable everywhere.

    Well... Maybe it was too harsh of a nerf to a weeds, but something had to be changed. Drones can just sanic speed into battlefield and shit nodes on the run.

    Maybe revert the change and add something like marines automaticly destroy weeds under their feet if they are on walk intent and standing on their own and not being dragged (or pushed???)? This way marines don't have to click every single tile of weeds, benos keep their weed spam and also marines are a bit more encouraged to use that walk intent to reduce FF and slow down pushes (buff to benos against metarushes).
    Or add craftable by research weed killer in spray bottles that marines can spray on their shoes to get brief weed removal ability while running (not really solving the problem and creating meta/powergaming situations, thought)

    ya I made this thread as a feedback thread, I never said that it should be reverted or that it cant be changed I just said that it wasn't thought through and it has way more ramifications than they realized. People can brainstorm crap in here if they want.

    We are currently looking into increasing movespeed difference between marine and Xeno on weeds as well as increasing node health.

    Maybe im misunderstanding you, but how does any of this make any difference when there are literally no weeds?

    Heres an idea that fixes some of the problem. Let whisperers not only spread weed nodes at a distance like they can with building but let them do it while they are observing other xenos. If you wanna make whisperers really crazy let them build buildings while observing other xenos.

    This makes it where when those lurkers and runners are running around with no weeds the whisperer can get them some. It also allows the whisperer to do back line shenanigans to trap the marines and stuff.

    I think it is a good change, but it will weaken xenos much.
