    Winning on Trijent Dam

Ive never seen a marine win on Trijent Dam in all of my time. What kind of strategies can the marines employ besides sitting in a FOB base? Everytime the squads push out, they cant cart their wounded off before they get swarmed by lurkers and runners, and slowly but surely any marine push is overflanked to the point of total collapse. Ive seen more total marine wipes here than on any other map, its almost commonplace. Why is this map in rotation and how can it be won with the marine unga at play?

I should clarify, i've never seen a marine win PLANETSIDE on this map, the best ive seen is getting the xeno numbers low on a marine withdrawal, getting as many marines back on the ship as possible, and killing the xeno's on the ship. Which is the meta for this map and feels very cheap. If the marines arent mad, the xeno's sure are.

    1) MegaFOB at either of the LZ's

    2) Land on LZ1, metarush the Labs via the Dam with the Tank and 3 squads, so you don't have to waste any time fixing Filtration plants. Pray that the xenos die easily and you don't suffer too many casualties. Medevac the heavily-wounded, keep the lightly-wounded on the frontlines, in action. It can achieve a marine victory, and Marine Majors happened on Trijent with this tactic, but it is a metarush, though...

These tactics are, currently, the meta for Trijent. The map is too big to guarantee safe fallback routes, and if you've got broken lungs or IB and Medevac is non-existant, enjoy a slow, agonizing death. If you're a latejoining marine and you're not in the FOB squad, you should stay on the FOB; moving to the frontlines will get you picked off by Lurker and Runner gangs. Also, any marine push can be easily encircled and wiped out by half-competent xenos, if the marines decide to rush without defences.

I won Trinjent once, first time playing on the map and first time as TC. Basically all 3 Squads plus the Tank pushed it after some exception CAS took a few good xenos.

I was a Squad Marine who played on Trijent, (late joined too). Anyways, the CO basically feigned a retreat to the FOB and then ordered an Unga-Push north From LZ2. We basically after this slowly but surely fought our way into the Xeno Hive (missed the last part of the push due to being medevaced).

Bum rush for engineering and use it as a strongpoint to defend from using three squads and tank. Once aliens weakened push into labs

Outside of the illegal metarush and the highly frowned upon metaretreat, this is 100% the truth. Every time the marines leave the trijent FOB in force, they are committing to a deathmarch in which most of them will not return, either because they end up dead, or the round ends in a marine major. Since throwing the entire non-bravo marine force right into the face of the hive is usually considered a metarush, the only real option for marines is to turtle up at the FOB and only leave it if and when the Xenos have been badly mauled in the FOB assault and marines are in mopup mode.

    Use the four mortar strategy.

Forget trying to fight xenos on their turf.

Put all squads on Intel gathering.

Laugh as xenos get stomped everytime they approach fob and they get nuked by 4 mortars in unison.
