    Xeno round start corpse counts towards stats

    Possibly an oversight, and only relevant to those who care about stats, but all xenos on round spawn receive 1 marine death stat from the initial spawn bursts. Makes the stat list look messy and gives way more deaths on a player. Also, why do we burst from chests at roundstart now? Just for unnecessary rp?

    Bursting from chests is indirectly a buff to DEFCON; those corpses you burst from count as Colonist corpses which give a substantial boost to DEFCON if recovered. Plus, it looks cool and gives your xeno more of an identity, since you burst from your marine character.

    We've spawned like normal for 4 years, so unnecessary yes. But now I see the defcon and identity traits to it. Anyways, if any staff see this you mind mentioning it to the devs, be nice to see my combat deaths only and not 30+ 5 second long lives.

    You burst from corpses to give xenos a supply of corpses to start the round.

    A carrier can drag them around to cover hugger traps along with monkey corpses.

    A hive with 40+ traps covered by human/monkey corpses is very hard to assault. You need to constantly inspect every square to check for traps or just run straight across them. The carrier can refill and replant traps even after you destroy them.

    First of all, I wrote a single short story in an hour as a creative writing exercise, and your rude comments are not appreciated.

    Secondly, retrieving any bodies planetside counts towards defcon so they are practically free defcon points; doesn�t matter player or spawned. Most players just don�t collect them.

    Thirdly, YOU yourself can make a bug report or suggestion directly to the devs on the Github instead of starting a new thread here.

    That's not true. DEFCON from corpses can be only be a set %. More corpses means that each corpse is worth less. If there would be only one corpse, then taking it to morgue would give all % that corpses can give.
    It's just like you can't grind beno corpses in Research Contaiment, more beno corpses just means each is worth a little less, so having 1000 corpses, or 1 matters only how many corpses they are.

    No free DEFCON points, winrate benobias in mind made whoever did this system to create a lot of failsafes so that DEFCON won't work accidentaly on Marine's favour.
    This is also why it's impractical and impossible to get nuke during normal gameplay.

    On the one hand. Kill/Death stats are a terrible idea for CM, even if private.

    But, having your round start Human chestburst count as a legit Death for your Human character is clearly unintended and a bad indicator.
