Reason for Ban

I have no idea. I only play on CM SS13

I was introducing my mate to the game (CM-SS13 we build, we fight, the end) I connected to make sure all was well (didn't even go into the game, just to the screen where you create your character). I then disconnected from the server so I could then guide my friend on how to start, login, join the right server and do the whole character thing..

After he joined, I followed but I was met with "Access Denied: Banned by host" and a black screen.

I've played on the server a few times... I'm new so I don't know if I screwed up or whatever by I try my best to join in and follow the rules etc. I don't understand.

We're on seperate computers and he lives 300 miles away so I don't think it has anything to do with IP addresses etc.

I only play as a Marine as I'm new. I have no idea why I was banned. I connected, left then reconnected 5 minutes later to help guide my friend who is know. I'm totally lost as to why this has happened.

This appears to be a sticky ban. You're going to have to wait until a head comes around and looks at this.

If you use a VPN or cracked OS you may run into these types of bans.

I don't use a VPN or a cracked version of Windows.

I'm sorry but It's been a week and nothing has changed.

I don't mean to be rude but whats the point of this forum if nothing gets done? Is it just to allow people to vent about how they got randomly banned by a poorly made auto mod?

Unfortunately we have been receiving an unusual amount of appeals for sticky bans. While I imagine most of these bans are in error, we have to check and double check that already banned players are not squeezing through the cracks. I do apologize about the length of time to which your ban has been up for. I will throw your appeal to the higher ups and see what can be done.
