Synthetic Whitelist Application
Byond ID? Yukonsnow
Marine Name James 'Dan' Litvosk
Other Whitelist Applications None
Name of the Synth Character you wish to play Dan
Are you familiar with the Synthetic Programming and Guidelines? Yes, I've read through it a few times while making my synthetic story.
What are some scenarios that you can perform combat in? Give us a brief example. Synths encountering alien life such as xenomorphs or predators can use lethal force to defend themselves and marines the synth is trying to heal and save, but it's best to leave it to healthy marines to scare them off, you cannot chase to finish contacts off and synths should use that time to get their patients and themselves to safety. Ideally you try to avoid any danger posed from aliens unless something needs saving.
Non USCM personnel are similar to the above response, but it's much easier to retreat from humans than xenomorphs and predators, as well as the option of non lethal force to subdue the encroaching hostile human if they give chase.
Synths cannot use lethal force against USCM personnel, and they should always either retreat or subdue any unruly personnel that are trying to cause the synthetic or other marines harm. In the rare event a synthetic is deputized they will also be expected to use flashes on marines they need to arrest.
Synthetic Character Story
What is your Synths quirk and personality? Dan's quirk is fairly simple, he's very casual in dialogue and demeanor with a tired appearance, and always exudes an air of indifference to almost every event that transpires around him. Expect frequent colloquialisms and informal titles for whoever he speaks with unless ordered by ranking personnel to address them otherwise.
How familiar are you with Engineering? I frequent CE if CMO isn't taken so here is everything I know
-Reactors
-FOB Construction and proper use of tools to make sure FOB is as fortified as possibles (Sentry placement, mines)
-Hacking vendors and repairing APCs are nearly muscle memory
-Construction of walls, airlocks and other nonstandard obstructions
-Portable telecomms unit construction,
-Mortar usage, proper coordinates gathering.
-Powerloader usage to help POs with their dropships and the reloading of OB
How familiar are you with Command? Decent enough, I have played staff officer a fair bit of times and my experience as CMO, CE and SL also help in understanding the command structure and how to properly command others.
-Overwatch console usage, such as reassigning squadleaders and other squad management tools in the overwatch console, such as setting objectives, using the squad tracker to locate lost marines.
-Sending OBs and supply drops
-Use of the leadership skill to give orders (Focus, Hold, Move,) at the right time to maximize their effectiveness.
-Communications console and command tablet usage to manage alerts, call distress signals and send announcements
-Remote controlling dropship and also manually piloting it from the DS.
-Proper usage of DEFCON points, knowing when to order more OB shells as opposed to more supply points.
How familiar are you with Medical? INCREDIBLY familiar, medical is my bread and butter, I cannot stress enough how much I play medical from squad medic and researcher to probably my favourite role, the CMO.
-All important chem recipes are known by heart, I can pump out pill bottles as fast as the nano UI can handle
-Proper usage of chemicals to keep marines alive, bicaridine OD for internal bleeding, epi for very damaged marines that need multiple defibs, etc.
- All surgeries known by heart, including the ghetto surgery tools if it's an emergency, I always try to make proper usage of the ability to do multiple surgeries at the same time.
-The importance of research to acquiring DEFCON, synthesizing new chemicals to scan in the XRF, making sure to take the plasma out of xenos for even more DEFCON,
-Chemnades and what chemnades work best in situations, knowledge of the variants of chemfire.
-The importance of triage and treating marines with deadly health problems first, such as serious organ damage or blood loss, as well as making sure all infected marines have their larva removed ASAP
-The ability to churn out large amounts of healing flasks with robust chemical compositions beyond the standard bicakelotram (Litvosk's Healing Juice is still patent pending)
How familiar are you with Requisitions? Fairly familiar, I've played RO before and when I'm not RO frequently communicate with the RO to establish supply drops and figure out what marines need planet side.
-Establishing supply drops for multiple areas such as FOB and hydro fort on LV, usage of echo pad and the other squad pads.
-Ordering the correct materials from the console, making sure not to buy sandbags on prison station, buying more ammo for the specialists that are still alive.
-Managing attachments and vendors to ensure marines in the req line get their attachments and ammo in a timely manner.
-Making sure to grab as many crates and stamp as many supply manifests as possible to keep req points flowing
Why do you want to be a synthetic/why should we whitelist you? I play support roles very often, and I find myself liking the idea of synthetic more and more every time I interact with other synthetics in game. They offer unique RP situations that are quite enjoyable, and they are always a welcome sight in understaffed departments. I like to RP, and I REALLY like the idea of having access to the synthetic skillset with it's mechanical and role play constraints.
I believe I should be whitelisted because I am a proven support player who can consistently not fuck up and tries to role play if time permits. I believe if I was whitelisted I would create healthier rounds for players who want competent departments because of my extensive knowledge of CM mechanics. I would also give the players who want to role play more opportunities to do so, because synthetics can usually create engaging role play if players try to get involved.
