If only there were explosives that were designed to be better at destroying things than ordinary bullets.

We are talking about beno walls, not normal walls.

I'm actually the ancient boiler general on the bottom right in that photo. This was right outside of FOB and we were positioned extremely aggressively. The marines made several pushes that round and easily could have recovered that corpse were it not walled off.

Judging by what I read in this thread this really is insane so +1 to outlawing walling off corpses

Just buff xeno stats or allow for multibursts again. They are underpowered, but aren't we supposed to believe that the xenos have no knowledge of unga revival procedures? Isn't that the explanation as to why they cant' drag dead marines? You even get a message "it's already dead - why touch it" when you click on a dead mahreen

Walling off marines wouldn't be nearly as much of a concern if wall spam wasn't so ubiquitous on the xenos side and as tedious and unpleasant to combat as a marine.

Marines have been conditioned out of clearing walls by entire seas of resin fortifications that take an entire magazine or 20 seconds of smacking to clear a single tile of. It has gotten to the point where I flat out will not deploy without a bayonet equipped weapon as a PFC or SL so I have something that can destroy a wall section in "only" 6 melee hits.

Dragging corpses and walling off corpses is a false equivalence; there is a massive difference from a runner dragging a corpse to an absolute insane part of a map that is literally never visited, not visited once in a blue moon, or once in every 1000 rounds, but just some forgotten fuck corner that basically only existed for delayyiens, hives who have 3 members and have to hide like it's Nazi Germany Marine SS, forgotten parts of the map that even the devs don't know exist. Just to have your corpse dumped there never to be seen again, and the runner could do this for every corpse he could get his grubby little mittens on. This was beyond cancer.

If you die near a frontline, and then that area no longer becomes the frontline, but the xeno backline where the boiler can smoke a cig and chill, then well, it doesn't even matter. You were doomed from the moment you went horizontal. Unless this thread is complaining about something yet mentioned, hivelord long distance building around a corpse? Either way false equivalence.

It's more about walls becoming so strong, that it takes magazines and multiple handfulls of buckshot to destroy, or use machete/bayonet (where another gimmick comes, benos see through walls, you standing next to a wall and slashing it could result in boiler spraying just as you destroyed it, he grabbing you and slashing to death in the corner, where hivelord can simply shit 3 walls nobody will try to destroy because who cares about walls that doesn't obstruct the way with the effort you have to give to clear them if they only make the corridor a bit cramped).

5 Minutes is either long and short, but it's not like nothing changes during that time. Frontline changes as fast as marine in heavy armor can walk atleast, so it's not WWI trench combat. All those examples that people brought up are simply stupid. No beno walls off a corpse in the open field, it has no point. The problem is when you die near a solid wall in caves etc. Those walls with their dummy thic HP pool will discourage marines from clearing anything but what is necessary to advance. Your corpse, which would be otherwise easly defibbed because marines recaptured that place after losing it 2-3 minutes ago, will be forgotten.

This exactly is a problem. Nobody is complaining that it's just walling corpses and this changes nothing when marines are not around. Why act like marines never quickly regain teritory they lost?

The average marine just ignores the walls around them if they dont stop them from advancing, walling corpses is actually pretty effective
