    Yautja Character Story
    Date: Unknown
    Location: Planet Khr'raal
    Designation: Trial World
    Youngblood: Arlhk'r Ble'kar
    Trial Elder: Hral'rk T'lruh
    Trial Specialization: Xenomorph

This side of the world was in a terminal state of fog and shadow, with the ancient temples built by their forefathers encased in damp foliage dotted about the surface. The time had finally come for the Youngblood to take their final trial by combat upon the same grounds that his father and his fathers father before them a hundred times over had done. It was not only necessary for him to prove to themsleves their capabilites, but also to the memories of his ancestors long gone, to proclaim to his entire species that their line would continue in the honoured ways of old, not only for this generation, but for a thousand more years to come. Only through testing themselves, proving themselves time and time again, could they ensure that the honour and courage of their race was not watered down or sullied by cowardice and incompetence. It was their noble obligation to maintain themselves to the highest possible standards, lest they fall into decadence and ruin. At least, this is what he believed.

Though such thoughts filled his mind, swirling around in a constant haze, up until he had reached the proving grounds, he remained visually unnaffected. Upon leaping down into the temple complex, the fog of his mind was lifted, and a bright and pure reflection of awarness bathed over him as he took in his surroundings. Donned in the attire of his late father, he was confronted by the Elder and their Overseers, all uncloaking in unison around the upper levels of the temple chamber.

With a low but piercing rumble of their gizzard, the Elder proclaimed the nature of their trial on this day, the time honoured manner in which it was to be conducted and emphasizing the necessity of a hunter in evaluating the landscape before engaging their prey.

With this, they all engaged their cloaking devices on their armbands and disappeared into the fog above, leaving only a faint whisper of their presence. The trial had begun, and an audible shudder crept across the terrain, the exact nature would have likely been an age old mechanism being activated. It was not long before Arlhk'r felt an uneasy presence upon the local vicinity, a sharp, but restrained seething. Like steam passing through an open pipe in the far away distance, yet, somehow much closer than that.
Arlhk'r steadied himself, posing their feet against the direction not of the sound, but where he felt in the back of his spine the presence was most strong. He had heard of these beats before, serpents said to be the most worthy of all foes to face in battle, who show no mercy, no fear and no remorse. Said to be the perfect combatant to test ones skill against. He didn't care much for them, despite the praise he had heard. Without thought and feeling, they may as well have been vermin. Only fit for extermination. Such thoughts did not enter into his mind during this time, however, he remained resolute in their objectivity, his entire being trained on this one motion in essence, the hunt.

Up until this moment, he had kept the blades within his wrist brace sheathed, waiting for the final and critical moment before unleashing himself upon the foe.
In an instant the sound became that of a scream, a wailing of pipes and metal bound by strings in the heated wind. A sharp exhale, and it struck, not from where the sound had come from, but behind him, where he felt the presence most strongly. As it lunged out from the shadows of the overhanging moss, a quick thrust of his arm and the extention of his wrist blade was all it took to detach the serpant from its body, as it's tiny second mouth froze in motion before his visor. Retracting his blade, the xeno slumped to the ground in a satisfactory thwump.

Not yet finished, the second xeno sprung from the ceiling, highlighted in the pale sunlight that shone through the gaps in the morning fog. Nothing more than a mess of slime and bone. Seizing him by the shoulder, Arlhk'r swung themselves back and sprung the xenos body back with them, causing it to smash into the opposing wall, as it thrashed about to regain its footing. As Arlhk'r steadied themselves once more, another xeno from the far off corner revaled themselves by swiping his feat away from the ground with their extended tail spine, causing him to fall on one knee to gain composure.

Activating both his blades, he thrust the first one down into the second xenos tail still wrapped around his foot, and pulled the xeno towards himself with both hands by the tail, as the first serpent made their second attack, they were beaten back by Arlhk'r pounding them with the body of the second, causing both to fly away in a tangled screeching mess.

He stepped forwards, unphased and determined. Before they could prepare themselves, his foot was placed firmly on the side of the xenos skull, pressed down with such force the stone beneath them began to crack, as the other flew up towards him, he shot forwards with his blade and embedded it deep within their abdomen, quickly finished them off by slicing through their extended head with the other hand. Turning his attention back to the other xenomorph, he grabbed it by both ends and brought its spine down upon his knee, letting out a guttural roar in triumph, snapping its spine for an instant kill.

His mandibles chattered away nosily as he began to carve up the serpents head for his trophy, the Elder revealing themselves once more and remarking that this shall be the first of many. With this act, the trial was over, and he has proven himself worthy to be called, "Blooded".

It would be necessary for Arlhk'r to seek out and prove themselves once more for the honour of their lineage in a true hunt. There can only ever be a first time, and he intended to make the most of it, he thought as he struggled to keep his aching mandibles from chattering away pleasurably.

    Date: Unknown, 1 week later
    Location: Yautja Prime
    Designation: Homeworld

One week, it had been one whole week since the moment of first blood for him. He had taken the first step to true understanding of his forefathers. To understand, one must practice it. He had not long returned to his home planet when his younger brother, Crey'l revealed themselves from behind a pillar to their home. They remarked upon the nature of their stay, and of the tale they could spin about their trails. Arlhk'r merely trod closer, firmly patting his younger sibling on the shoulder. It was not something to be taken lightly, not some story told to entertain others, but a testament to the adherence to their code and record of deeds done not out of pleasure, but of duty. The lack of understanding shown by Crey'l whenever Arlhk'r had stated as such had always left him feeling despondent at the notion.

Despite being of younger blood than his older brother, Crey'l was still much the same size and shape to that of Arlhk'r. And indeed if things were to continue, he may well outgrow him yet. However he had not undertaken their own trial. They were overly familial, brutish, and not one for the more subtle aspects of life outside of the combat arena. Long had he tried to convey adequately to his younger brother the necessity for proper conduct and reverence to the past deeds, to improve upon what had come before. To little effect, however, as they had continued in their ways and squandered what natural talent they were born with. This came to a head when during their evening meal, in which Crey'l had dissmissed the notion of close and personal duels, preferring instead to take out any prey from a distance. Arlhk'r maintained that only though such ceremony and the aspects of melee combat could one truly define themselves and wish to advance the honour code.

As he sat at the head of the table, calmly looking up at his younger brother, he caught a glimpse of a facial expression hinting on hostility, it was not there for long, just a glimmer of what lay deeper within the heart of Crey'l. It was not something he had expected from one so near to him, his own flesh and blood. Certainly it would be better to come to a conclusion and be dealt with before the ill feelings could fester into something more permanent. As such, He offered to duel his younger sibling for the right to end this debate, and that as brothers, they could end it without blood. Crey'l simply laughed and stood from the table, waving back that he would get an early rest for the mornings rise.

Later that night, Arlhk'r strolled down the corridors of his home towards his brothers resting chambers. He had brought with him his old training spear and armor, determined that they settle the matter honourably. Yet when he entered their room, there was nothing but a single bright lantern standing at the far end of the room, providing no clarity to the whereabouts of the bed or his borther. With the light obscuring his vision into the further recesses of the chamber, he called out as he made his way deeper, focused on what he could see now before him. No response. He had the sneaking suspicion that something wasn't quite right, there there was an unseen presence lurking around the darkness. The thought had only just occured to him as Crey'l shot out from behind a set of drapes, thrusting a clawed metal arm towards Arlhk'rs throat, managing to pierce the flesh but not nearly enough. Flinching backwards, he, grasped at his wound, letting out a howling crackle. His brother was obviously far more tainted than he had anticipated. No mere honour duel would be enough to right what was wrong between them, it would need to end with one of them dead under the boot of the other. By now Crey'l had now returned to the shadows, all that remained of their encounter was the splatter of blood upon the wall from his wound.

Circling around the room, Arlhk'r steadied themselves, their grip now firmly in place upon the spear, prepared for whatever came next. From behind the glowing lantern, the briefest flash of metal and it was too late, a javelin glided through the air and found their mark, burying itself in the side of his stomach. Before he had time to recover, pulling the projectile out in one firm movement, Crey'l came barreling towards him, with the full force of their weight behind them, they drove him into the nearest wall with a triumphant roar. Letting go of his spear he grabbed them by the head and drove it into his rising knee, sending them sprawling backwards. With some distance now between them, and each aware of each other, Arlhk'r demanded to know the reason for this outrageous attack upon him, in violation of all their peoples laws and rules. It was simple, said Crey'l, it made them weak. If they were the true hunters and warriors of the galaxy, surely they should not be limited by the teachings of their ancestors. That it is the will of the strongest to take what is theirs by themselves and not rely on such notions as morality and honour.

Arlhk'r was disgusted, there was no point in engaging in a debate with them now that he had heard this. There was only one way to prove the strength of his beliefs, of his people, through battle, through claiming victory. No other way could it be proven. It would only be a disappointment that they would not live to see the folly of their ways. Nodding, he motioned for his younger to come and prove their mettle, clutching his spear once more and assuming a defensive stance. This was all the encouragement Crey'l needed, as he drove forwards with both arms clad with metal claws, slicing wildly at their older sibling. Despite their injuries, Arlhk'r put them out of mind as they put all their being into this moment, the soul intention of making that final and swift thrust into the vital spot. He deftly drove each incoming attack away from himself, infuriating Crey'l to no measure, slowly drawing them back out of the room and into the archway to their room. There it was, the opening was all he needed, rolling backwards, he extended his spear outwards from his core, facing towards the doorway as his brother came lunging out. In that moment, there was nothing he could have done, all brawn and no thought, they had effectively made the strike themselves, plunging into the awaiting spear that reached deep inside their chest.

Their grip loosening, the metal claws clattered to the ground as Arlhk'r pushed them further still, into the opposing pillar, locking them in place. Crey'l reached out with both their hands, wrapping them around his neck, still trying to throttle the life out of him. As what life remained in their brother was spent on trying to strangle him, Arlhk'r spoke softly but with determination, stating that he dedicated this kill to both the twin gods of justice and honour, Gor'tekai and Mor'tekai, that with this act, he cements his firm belief that only through securing the correct lineages and individuals are allowed to succeed, shall they be able to advance their civilization. That the reason why they had succeeded and not his younger brother, was because of this adherence to the desirable traits of their people, and they had lost because their traits were undesirable. That by eradicating him, was the only way to maintain order and keep out corruption and moral decay. With a final guttural roar, Arlhk'r pulled out his spear, Crey'ls body falling limp before him on the ground.

Describe how your Yautja acts, and how you intend to play them
While intensely stoic and blunt, he has an uncontrollable reflex of his mandibles chattering whenever he finds something pleasurable. Such as observing prowess in battle, new sensations, and alien movements. Even the thought of delivering the lethal blow in a fight to the death would send powerful sensations through his mandibles. Additionally, he is most interested in the physiology of humans, being similar to that of himself. Though is often dissapointed by their military conduct and reluctance to fight outside of large groups.

They prefer keeping themselves at a distance while observing alien species, half dejected at the realisation that all encoutered thus far are less than worthy of notice.
Additionally, they mainly communicate through body language and gestures with any Yautja they are unfamiliar with, keeping verbal dialogue to a minimum, with short and precise verbiage.

Increasingly ponders why the Elders allow the continuation of the Xeno species, due to their entire race being nothing more than a hive mind, and no individual being a true warrior in any sense of the word, assides from their Queens. Though they too lack any understanding of honour and rely on base insticts like a common animal.

If he ever finds a worthy foe to duel, and they prove their military prowess and honour in battle, he would always show them mercy, as such specimens deserve to spread their genes and ensure that their ideals are preserved.
Though those who show themselves to be without honour deserve to be expunged from the gene pool.

In your own words, describe the difference between an honor duel and a hunt
A duel specifies a more formal fighting arrangement between two combatants who are both prepared for the encounter. With the Predator being the one to initiate it with those deemed worthy of honourable courtesy.

Whereas hunts are less formal and entail the Predator selecting prey they deem worth their time in dispatching, without prior warning given.

One is worthy of being called a true warrior, the other is merely a beast with claws.

How do you intend on interacting with other predators during a round?
Before and after a hunt, he would engage with them based on how honourable he believes them to be. He would defer to those most senior, and encourage those lower than him to endevour their best to ensure that their conduct is always in line with their teachings.

However, during the hunt, he would prefer to act alone, only dealing with other Predators if necessary in furthering their shared goals. Though, if he knows the Predator well, and respects them, he would be amicable to hunting together. Anyone acting in a way he does not approve of, he would not deal with.

Why do you want a predator whitelist?
It is an aspect of the game I have the least experience in, having only encountered an event Predator. It has some of the best opportunities for RP out of the ordinary.

Do you understand that any player - donor or otherwise - can have their whitelist status revoked should they break our rules or disobey the Predator Code of Honor?
    Yes

Do you understand that you cannot advertise your application on any platform for votes. Do you also understand you may not edit this application 1 hour after it has been posted?
    Yes

Having discord access is a requirement because of important annoucements relating to predator codes/guidelines. Are you currently banned from the CM Discord?
    No

I've decided I want to delve further into the whole, "Eugenics" side of my character to make them stand out. For which I shall update the story to encompass. Maybe I'll form a genetic purity faction or something to encourage greater adherence to their moral and physical values.

And I see I clicked the wrong tick box for one of the yes/no answers.

Right, In your application you filled out on your application with the following:

Do you understand that you cannot advertise your application on any platform for votes. Do you also understand you may not edit this application 1 hour after it has been posted?
    Yes
You clearly added to your story well after an hour of posting it. If our forum time stamp system is correct, you edited it approx. 20 hours and change you submitted your application.

I cannot allow this to become a precedent, thus I will have to deny this application.
