Angry Game freeze for seconds, performance SS13

Hi always In big fights my screen freeze for 2-3 seconds, sometimes I die.
my question is if I can have a better performance lowering graphics or something in SS13.
    I use rendering in bilinear.

    Thanks, sorry for bad english.

Are you on the BYOND beta version?
If not update to that, you can do it from your client

I’ve heard dead chat talking about beta actually being less stable than not beta? But advice from dead chat is always dubious.

What are your specs, I found playing SS13 on anything worse than most i3's was usually not playable

Whenever this happens, check the ping in the top right of the chatbar. On my old laptop I had this happen and it was because the CPU was damn near erupting, but given the massive pops that CM can hit it may well be a latency issue.

All I can say is upgrade or play on low pop. Playing on a 4th generation dual core i5, even with an SSD and 8GB of RAM still has stutters and performance issues on high pop, keep in mind there's issues from using WINE to run it on linux though performance-wise. CM and other games are more resource-intensive then some people make it out to be.

EDIT: Maybe try running in a lower desktop resolution, using some kind of reputable RAM cleaner software and if you can, maybe upgrade to a SSD. It'd be best to ask a dev if they have any ideas too on Discord, last time I asked though, they said most of the processing was done server side or something.
