While Griffith does need to work on bettering his communication with those whom his deploying may concern, he did evidently announce it. And although I wouldn't blame someone for not seeing it, I can't hold Griffith accountable on the basis that you (Call Me Arty) happened to miss his announcement. But yes; Griffith, please make it clear to those who your deployment has a direct effect on (specifically the XO) that you're heading down.
