    Give the game more than 2 maps

    Ok so I understand the Devs to-do list is kind of long but I think CM-SS13 could benefit from having more than two maps, because playing on LV and BR can get kind of stale you know?

    Like, LV does have that 'we're in vietnam bucko' feeling except most of it takes place on open planes, near a river, at buildings or in caves. It is mainly about holding a bridge, gaps and tunnels most of the time, which means it can get bogged down and really slow and really really long sometimes.

    Big Red is fine but it almost always plays out the same way every time. Go to Eta! Then Lambda! Then Eta! Then Lambda! Also fortify the bar!

    Here are some ideas for new maps:
    How about a cool ice planet map? (get it?)
    A prison station, haha you're all going to prison, marines!
    Some really big map with tons of water, since we can certainly have more fights near rivers... maybe spice it up and make the water spicey poison death juice?
    Some kind of training satellite or something with tons of biodomes for variety?
    How about a map that is a lot more like vietnam jungles except I can't really say much about it because it literally never ever gets played?

    Please respond to this proposal.

    CM used to have several renditions of ice planets as well as a massive prison station (survivors were prisoners and the xenos spawned in a crashed W-Y shuttle). Station often ended up getting patched dozens of times because of atmos/breaches and the fighting was typically one-way. Ice planet was pretty good but had a multilevel system that meant that most fighting was about elevators and ladders (pretty good survivor map though). Those together with Whiskey Outpost are all I remember. They had their fair share of problems.

    BR meh, thanks whoever added the filtration choke

    other maps are too big, enforce ABC meta on every corner and are generally pretty annoying to play on thanks to the intense lag.

    Don't wan't to seriouspost on a shitpost, but I think it would be interesting to introduce a map cool down system, where if a map is picked a few rounds have to go by before it can be picked again. Might lead to more maps being played, but could (read: will) end with people leaving because they don't want to play anything but BR and LV.

    What if we do what /vg/ does. Instead of just giving the win to whichever map gets the most votes, have each vote increase the chance of a map getting picked, with a minimum number of votes a map needs to get considered.
