It can hold your gun, but doesn't slow you down at all (even bulletproof vest does). All there is to it.

It's just frustrating to me that as the most played map I always see one and the same basic mistakes being made. It IS one of the most comfortable maps to play in because I know exactly what ti expect every time but it also gets, well, boring and stale.

Also with the coronatide and shit our playercount only keeps increasing so I believe it's frankly getting more and more ridiculous to keep on playing exclusively lowpop maps. But thankfully sorokyne is gonna be included in the lowpop map pool soonish.

See, one thing that should be understood about LV is that defending at hydro is genuinely unironically much better than trying to defend the nexus.

Which is unlike Solaris, where defending the LZ, if done right, is muuuch better than holding the bar, which is at a similar middle-of-the-map position. (I suppose the yard on prison is also a good example, since it's kind of a trash place to hold imho.)

This difference is confusing to a CIC that doesn't play much, causing the creation of nexus FOB hell, which almost always gets breached first on the backside after everyone tried to waste metal on fortifying such a large area...

Sure, if nexus isn't pure cades a lurker might get to you if you run out alone, but... if you're the type of person to run out alone you might also be the type of person that'd leave those cades unattended and let them get melted first thing...

its not CIC's fault

every unga and their nan constantly pushes in this sequence:

LZ-1 > Nexus > Hydro Road > Hydro

even if CIC spams "NO ONE GO NEXUS USE CARGO" (which is the superior option as its completed caded in two directions and the other two can be caded rather easily), marines will STILL GO NEXUS then get taken out and blame command despite command telling them to take the perfectly safe cargo route to hydro road

the only times Nexus is a viable option is when nightmare mode removes hydro road and r-walls it off at north nexus where Fitness road is the only way to hydro; then and only then is nexus a viable option

Sadly The only way they could enforce that would basically be to deploy the CE on first drop and have him immediately wall off the way into nexus.

LV does not suck gameplay wise.
It sucks because the eternal loop of LV>BR>LV>BR makes me want to kill myself.

Its time to take notes from LV and BR. Study them and adjust other maps. Instead of making frankenstein ICE COLONY / Prison copies like Corsat, or ICE COLONY / Trijent Dam Sorokyne.
