    GeniyEvgeniy - Commander Application

    Commander Whitelist Application
    Byond ID?
    GeniyEvgeniy

    Player Name You Use Most?
Evgeniy 'Ukr' Kozlovtsev, used Benjamin 'The Rat/Rude' Sagan

Make a list of links to all of your applications and (job)ban appeals, including whitelist and staff apps, within the last year. Also, provide "Ban reason; Verdict" beside each (job)ban link
    First predator's app, denied:
    //showthrea...ja-Application
    (this was horrible)
    Second predator's app, denied:
    //showthrea...ja-Application

    No bans, only notes like:
possible suicide larva, bag use(as survivor used computers to block way for xenomorphs)
    don't remember others.

Have you received any ban within the last month? How long was it and what for?
    No.

Do you understand that any player - even donors or staff members - can have their whitelist status revoked should they break our Server Rules or Roleplay Guidelines?
    Yes

How do you view the tool of Battlefield Execution to be used? What circumstances do you think it would be necessary to BE a member of the crew? Where do you think the Battlefield Execution Mechanic Differs from regular Execution and why?
Honestly, I think that every human's life is the most important thing in the world. BE can be used only on really-really violent/dumb crimes(like, intended killing high ranked staff, intended killing fellow marines, being deserter, mutining, major sabotage, baldie threw hefa and killed a lot of marines, PO launched dropship too early and killed a lot of marines.)
    Regular executions:
It's not so long preparatory process(10-20 minutes), announcing who will be executed, why he will be executed, when he will be executed, how he will be executed, well it's more RP process than BE.
    Battlefield Executions:
There's no preparatory process. You just take the "sentenced to death marine" and executing him. Much faster than regular execution, because you need to lead your marines, not announcing execution and else.

How will your Commanding Officer run his/her ship? Provide a detailed explanation on how he would handle situations that might commonly occur such as, a insubordinate Req, Engineering, MP, or Command Staff
    My captain is humanist:
Every human's life is the most important in our world(at least he thinks so).
Usually, my captain will be calm, but sometimes he can be rude and loud. Evgeniy will try to control every squad, manpower, the situation on the battlefield and on the Almayer.

    Alright, situations:

    Situation A:
Almayer isn't getting power after 15 minutes after the round start.
    Solutions:
First: Ask MTs "What's with the power? Fix it, please". If MTs don't fix it, I will ask MPs to talk with MTs.
Second: If I'm too busy, I will ask XO to handle this.

    Situation B:
RO created a "store(if you wanna attachments go pay" from req. As you know, req is public for everyone. Everyone can go to req and get attachments.
    Solutions:
First: I will warn the RO. If he doesn't listen, I will call MPs.

    Situation C:
    MP is breaking marine law.
    Solution:
First: Admin help, ask other MPs to arrest him for his crimes.

Situation D: The only one IO has been arrested by MPs and one squad has got IO duty.
    Solution:
It Depends on the crimes he did. If it's minor, then I'll pardon it.
If it's major crime - I will change squad's orders.

    Situation E: Mutiny onboard.
    Solutions:
First: Diplomacy way. I'll try to talk with mutiny's leader, why he and his squad are so angry, what do they need/want and else. If we speak peacefully, I will try to solve everything.
Second: If they're openly hostile, then: tear gas, nonlethal weapons and else to neutralize them. IF THEY'RE KILLING PEOPLE, then shoot them and report to the USCM High Command.

    Situation F: Command insubordinate.
    Solutions:
First: I'll ask what the problem? Do your job, please, there's a war, people dying down here, we must lead them. If he doesn't listen - I'll call MPs.
    I suggest, that's enough.

What do you think is the job of a Commander?
The commander must control the situation everywhere. On the battlefield(stop metarushes, keep marines alive, control the elimination of hostiles, keep civilians alive), on the shipside(keep communications on, keep the power on, keep everything on, solve problems with personal and else), everywhere.
Also, the commander must keep every marine disciplined, organized and coordinated.
Commander responsible for literally everything. Every broken thing, every dead marine, everything on the ship and on the battlefield.

CO is the main brain of the operation. He creates plans, attacks, pushes, defenses and else. CO must earn respect from his people, appreciate and protect them.

As a player what do you think could be added for Commanding Officer to benefit the role?
On my own, I think command tablet should have the ability to overwatch at least squad leaders so COs/XOs can better control marines.

What do you think you could contribute by being whitelisted?
I believe, that I can keep marines alive for a long time and keep them organized. I have well pretty a lot of experience being SL, XO, earlier SO.

Your story (potential topics listed below)
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Events were happening on 04.12.[DATA REDACTED]. When USCM and UPP had pretty good relations.
UPP forces have deployed on the [DATA REDACTED] planet near the colony [DATA REDACTED].
"What was that?! I heard something in bushes" - private Kirill Smirnov pointed to the bushes where he heard strange sounds.
"I heard it too... I hope this is not-" trees and ground are shaking, loud horrible roars from the jungles coming closer, soldiers scared.
"We need to get out of there, now! Where is the captain?! We must warn him."
"He must be with other USCM survivors in 5 kilometers from us. Nikita, say to the captain that they're coming. Everyone, move faster! Come on! Run!"

    21:05
"This is Komarov's squad, do you copy? Marines with us, we're escorting them to the dropship, had contacts with lizards. We're requesting fire support to cover us."
"This is Tkachev's squad, message received. Send coordinates for fire support"
"..." a lot of shots and lizards screams.
"This is Tkachev's squad, Komarov's, do you copy?"
"..." gunshots finished and screams too.
    "Komarov's squad, do you copy?!"
"I-I'm sorry. We've been attacked by some kind of red giant dogs. Enemy has been eliminated. Okay, coordinates for fire support: Square A5, 612,410"
"Square A5, 612,410 - Coordinates received. Incendiary shells incoming. Be careful, danger close."
    "Received."
    "Good hits, Komarov's?"
"That was brilliant, Tkachev's, you've burned them! Nice jo- What the fuck is th- INCOMING!!!" Tkachev's was hearing extra-loud screech and gunfire.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    18:00.
Nearest UPP's military vehicle - "Zarya-12"(crew: 80 enlists, 12 civilians, like doctors, engineers and else) received the transmission from the [DATA REDACTED]:

"ATTENTION, WE CAN'T HOLD THIS PLACE ANYMORE.
OUR LAST DROPSHIP HAS BEEN DESTROYED.
    WE'RE REQUESTING IMMEDIATELY HELP.
WE'RE UNDER HEAVY ATTACK BY [DATA REDACTED].
WE'RE NEAR THE COLONY [DATA REDACTED].
    SEND HELP.
    OVER"
Radio Operator Nikita Orehov after reading this transmission ran to the Captain very fast.
"Thank you, Nikita." - After listening to this transmission Captain Evgeniy Kozlovtsev - the big and tall person in the green cap with USSR's symbol sent a message about the transmission to the UPP High Command and asked POs to set course to the USCM's coordinates...
"Test-test. Engineers, how are the generators? I hope we're doing great." - asked Evgeniy.
"Test. Yes, sir! Generators powering everything! SMESes and APCs are charging pretty fast!"

    1-hour later..

    Announcement from the Captain:
"Attention, comrades. Briefing will be in 5 minutes. Proceed to the briefing, please. Thank you."

"Captain!" - tall man in the green uniform with UM4 helmet - sergeant Yuriy Volkov stopped Evgeniy and salutes. He seems pretty busy "shall we take BTR(Russian name of APC) on this mission since those soldiers on the planet seem being wiped?..."
Evgeniy salutes - "Take it... And! Load medicines on it. I'm expecting a lot of wounded or dead down there. Ask doctor Kabanov to prepare for deployment and get the surgery table with tools on the BTR(APC). Is that clear, Sergeant?"
"Yes, sir!" - Yuriy walked away.

    19:00
Evgeniy Kozlovtsev is slowly entering the briefing room, soldiers are talking about something and when they noticed that the captain is in the briefing room they stood up and salute. There are 4 (squads in total with 16 soldiers, 2 medics and 2 engineers in each squad. There are no squad names, if you need to know squad's location you can ask: "Where is Tkachev's squad(Tkachev - squad leader)?"

"Good evening, soldiers. One hour ago we received the transmission from the USCM forces where they said that they need immediate help and something called "dragons" eliminating them. I've never heard about those dragons, so be careful. This can be the elite enemy's force or maybe worse... I know, we have a bit strange relations with USCM, but we're not enemies. We must help everyone who needs help, you remember that, comrades?"
"Yes, sir!" - The soldiers at the briefing shouted almost equally.
"We know their location, your squad leaders will show on their maps after briefing, so don't worry. But we're not going to deploy right on their heads, we're deploying in 10 kilometers from them so we won't be destroyed by enemy's rockets or whatever. Don't forget to check your weapons, ammo, and food. I'm not sure how long we will be there, but I suggest less than 5 hours. Squads orders time:
Orders are simple - said Evgeniy and turned on the large hologram of the map. - After deployment, all squads will quickly secure the landing place. This will take 20 minutes, not more. After that, Borisov's, Komarov's and Cheshyikin's squad are going with me to the USCM's position. Tkachev's squad is protecting FOB and covering us with the mortar. BTR(APC) moving with the main group. Deploy via "Lastochka" dropship. Liftoff in 19:20.
And take flashlights and flares. Dismissed."
Soldiers got up from the chairs and moved to load supplies on the Dropship.
Dropship "Lastochka" big dropship for 100 people or 80 with 1 BTR(APC). On it installed a huge machinegun and 8 rockets "Avalanch".

    19:20.
Supplies have been loaded, soldiers have boarded the Dropship. Captain Evgeniy sitting in a cockpit with 2 POs.
"Liftoff" - said Evgeniy and dropship launched.
"Remember your orders, soldiers! Regroup after deployment and stay together! Ura!"

    19:35.
Soldiers have deployed on the surface and unloading the dropship. FOB will be ready in 20 minutes. No contacts, everything clear and calm.
"Let's sing the song, comrades! We will build the FOB even faster!" - shouted engineer Lysenko with a smile on his face.
"Which one, comrade?" - asked Evgeniy.
    "How about "Katusha?"
    "Sure, comrade!"

    19:53
Landing has been surrounded by sandbags and metal barricades. Some kind of trenches have been made too and small radio center in it.
Evgeniy looked at the FOB and he was satisfied with it and then announced:
"Soldiers, time to go! Borisov's squad going first! Let's go! Hooray!" - a lot of soldiers with their warcries, songs marching to the USCM's coordinates.

    20:30, 2 kilometers from the USCM's coordinates.
"Be quiet, soldiers. We're in 2 kilometers from them. Report any contacts or strange sounds. BTR(APC), stay here. I will contact with the FOB...
Captain grabbed the radio set from his satchel:
"How is the FOB, Tkachev? Is it calm? We're in 2 kilometers from the coordinates. We will meet them soon. Over|
"FOB is calm, we're good. Snipers watching everything, don't worry, Captain. Over"
"Got it. Over." - Evgeniy put his radio set back in the satchel and continued moving"

    20:34.
"Blyat! - screamed private - This is fucking dead marine, look!
"What the hell is that?" - asked Evgeniy and pointed on the giant scratches on his chest - "EVERYONE, PREPARE YOUR WEAPONS, WATCH CAREFULLY. ENEMY MUST BE NEAR. CONTINUE MOVING! LET'S GO!"

20:36-20:49 soldiers were spotting a lot of dead marines with giant scratches and bites in bushes.

    20:51.
Everyone has stopped. There was a giant(4 meters) red, not a human's body with giant claws and with flowing acid from the wounds. Soldiers are shocked. They didn't see anything like that before in their lives. Everyone stayed quiet. One young soldier noticed tracks on the ground and screamed:
"Look! There are tracks! They're divided on two ways! They're messed, like they were runni-"
Shot. Another shot. A lot of shots.
"Komarov's you're following those tracks! Borisov's and Cheshyikin's with me! KEEP YOUR RADIO SET ON! GO GO GO!" - shouted Evgeniy and ran to the sound following the tracks. While he was running, he ordered BTR(APC) to get to the Komarov's squad immediately.

    20:53.
Evgeniy could hear shots very near.

    20:55.
Visual on a lot of wounded and scared marines and giant lizards attacking them, UPP soldiers shooting them, but it isn't so effective. Lizards rotated to UPP's soldiers and running to them.
"THEY'RE TOO GIANT, PREPARE THE RPGs, ASAP!" - said Evgeniy to the soldiers with rockets. Rocket men immediately prepared RPG to shoot. They're aiming.. and.. shots from 4 RPGs.
3 lizards died and one fell on the ground, bleeding and screaming for help.
"Finish it" - said Boris and with his squad killed it.
Evgeniy saw a horrible picture. Scared and wounded marines with terrifying looking at the UPP soldiers. They're still shocked after all events here.
"MEDICS! MARINES NEED HELP! GET HERE! - announced Boris via his radio set. - PREPARE TO ESCORT THEM TO THE DROPSHIP!"
"A-are you talking English?..." asked the marines' squad leader with a splint on his arm and bloody bandages on the chest.
"Yes, I am. What the hell happened here? Where are others? We've received your transmission. Also, we saw a lot of dead marines by the way. - asked captain Evgeniy from the marine's squad leader. - How the hell you've lost your dropship? Were that missiles or what?
    21:05.

Marines' squad leader told what happened here. They were ordered to clear this planet from the CLF. When they've arrived to this planet they didn't meet any alive colonists. Only dead bodies. There were in total 95 marines. Now there's only 19 marines alive, but leader not sure about. When they were evacuating, lizards attacked the dropship and killed everyone in it. They've barely made it. He said that's probably someone still alive. After that, Tkachev's squad communicated with Evgeniy and said that Komarov's squad recently found other marines, but they're under heavy attack now. He reported that strange screech. Evgeniy ordered to get from two sides. Borisov's squad divided on 2 fireteams. Cheshyikin's squad and first Borisov's FT1 are going with Evgeniy to the right flank and Borisov's second FT with able-to-fight marines are going to the left flank. There are still 4 ready RPGs and fire support.

    21:20
"Test, this is Borisov's FT2. We've spotted Komarov's squad, they're fighting, taking casualties, but not so many. Also, we've flanked lizards and killed a lot of them! Komarov's squad made sandbags with barbed wire. Also, I can see a fucking giant black lizard with 4 arms. Sometimes it screeches and we just can't do anything! But we're doing pretty good, machine-gunners holding them great!. Komarov's radio operator dead and there are 15 alive marines over! - said radio operator from FT2.
Evgeniy with his soldiers flanked lizards and attacked them right from the back.
"FT2, PUSH EM, WE'VE FLANKED THEM!" - loudly ordered Evgeniy to attack. Soldiers fixed their bayonets and charged in enemies. There was a lot of acid on the ground and a lot of blood. Black lizard appeared from the hill and charged right on Borisov's FT2 - "FUCK, SCREECHER! INCOMING!!!" - screamed soldier and then screecher with her last lizards started to destroy FT2.
But, she didn't know that 4 rocket men have been waiting for her. Four gunshots right in screecher. One hit - lower body, second - chest, third - chest, and fourth hit - chest and destroyed it.
    Silence.. Everything quiet.
"Did we won...?" - asked survived marine with a smile.
"I guess, so. Okay, guys. I don't know how you, but I'm tired. Let's go back to the dropship. Marines, board the BTR(APC)" - said tired Evgeniy and started walking to the dropship with his soldiers.

This was their first time in lives when they've met creatures like that.
Everyone on the ship "Zarya-12" signed NDA.

Soldiers successfully arrived at the landing zone, loaded everything on Dropship and left the planet.
In total, they lost 11 soldiers today, but saved 34 marines.

It turned out, that they've saved USCM CO - [DATA REDACTED].

Captain Evgeniy 'Ukr' Kozlovtsev with his squad were invited to the USCM's base. USCM suggested joining the USCM, after saving the CO.
UPP's High Command has given gave permission to join the USCM with his squad to help their allies.
Evgeniy and his squad left the UPP and joined the USCM.

Events on that planet are classified.

Sadly, after a lot of years relations between USCM and UPP worsened. Evgeniy couldn't leave the USCM due to the diplomacy and political situation.

Evgeniy has been assigned to the 4th Colonial Marine Brigade, 2nd Battalion "Falling Falcons", USS Almayer.

I had you as my XO today, and I can say you are more than experienced for the role. You led the troops with effective orders and motivation. Your in-game competence is whats leading me to +1 this app. Please continue to roll XO.

You're a good XO. You've done well with orders, are good with management, and know where to put your troops to make 'em effective.

One thing I'd suggest in the future is to man overwatch more frequently if an SO is missing so that you can both get better visual awareness of the situation, and to give you something to do other than dancing around the comms console.

App is pretty good, though I do think your BE answer could use more more specific examples. Your answers to insubordination could also be a lot more detailed and not just a step-by-step process. But you performed well as an XO, so that's most of what really matters (a guy can write an incredible application and still suck at being a CO).

Besides that stuff, wonderful XO, +1 from me! Good luck! ^^

What would you do if you were in briefing giving out squad orders and someone accidentally pressed a HEDP that blew up part of req and killed like 3 marines ?

Also in which situations would you pardon someone ?

    Okay, situation №1:
This is silly. Accidentally activate grenade, this is really strange. You need to be very careless to activate it even accidentally.
    So, let's look:
    3 dead marines.
    Probably wounded.
    Damaged req.

I think that execution can be possible in this case, but to do this I need more information about the situation.
    Was he resisting the arrest?
Who were the people he has killed?
How much damage he has done to the req?

    SOLUTION 1)
He killed PFCs/PVTs, didn't resist the arrest, and not major damage to req.
In the best case, he would be arrested for 50 minutes. Also, I would ask SEA to talk with him.

    SOLUTION 2)
He killed medics/engineers, didn't resist the arrest and did major damage to the req.
Perma brig and talk with SEA.

    SOLUTION 3)
He killed SLs, spec or officer, resisted the arrest and did major damage to req.
    My choice - execution.

Even if he didn't want to do that, he killed marines, damaged the req and tools. He must be punished. I can't say just "Ha, don't worry! Shit happens! You are free to go and have fun!!" No.

    Situation №2.
Ok. I would pardon marine if it wasn't major crime and we need this marine on the battlefield/Almayer.
    okay, like that:
    A) The only one engineer in bravo has been arrested.
It depends on crimes. If it was minor crime(really minor) I would pardon.
If it was major crimes, then I would replace him with synth/another engineer/MT.
    B) Marine saying that he has been arrested for nothing:
I would learn about the situation. If he really was arrested for nothing then I would pardon him and warn the MP for not investigating this situation.
If he was lying I would say to the MP to give him more 10 minutes.
    C) Delta alert on the Almayer.
I would give a second chance to every prisoner to fight against the xenomorphs or evacuate if they want to.

    huh

You state that BEs would be used in rare incidents and that your captain is a humanist yet you would permabrig/execute a marine, in this case probably someone new to the game for a stupid accident that can be resolved within 15 seconds both ICly and OOCly. This would very likely get you suspended or possibly removed - depending on the marine and his will to use CM SS13 forums.

Accidents with grenades happen in REQ line all the time, especially on highpop where you literally have to click an item X times in order to pick it up. Not even mentioning that a single M40 HEDP can under no circumstances kill a marine unless said marine is in crit.

I'll twist it around for you,
A random, irrelevant marine player orders a M15 frag and the cargo tech acidentally primes it, placing it on the table. CT runs away and so does the marine player that ordered it. Third marine grabs it and lobs it back into REQ in order to save all the other marines that are either in the line behind him or sitting at brief. The M15 lands inside req, killing the RO that was standing in the back and destroying the attachement vendor.

How would you resolve this ICly?

you might be a good XO or SO, which is good, standing out as a XO in a game where everyone outright ignores CIC is certainly a good trait. But I don't know anything about your XO past or whatever people deem important when it comes to whitelists these days. So I'll abstain from voting on this app.

BE can be used only on really-really violent/dumb crimes(like, intended killing high ranked staff, intended killing fellow marines, being deserter, mutining, major sabotage, baldie threw hefa and killed a lot of marines, PO launched dropship too early and killed a lot of marines.)

You said that it can be resolved within 15 seconds.
I guess, you're talking about ahelp(aheal wounded players) but don't forget that this is RP server. If admins wouldn't heal(or there are no admins somehow) wounded people(if you're not about that sorry) player should be punished. In real life, if a soldier accidentally primes the grenade(like on their base, well not in combat) and that would kill soldiers he would be arrested.

Okay, first - you said ICly. Not with OOC or admin help(you have written ICly and I will answer ICly)
CT who has primed the grenade should be arrested, cause you said RO died to this grenade.
Let's look at the marine law:
    Manslaughter:
    Killing someone without malicious intent.
    20 minutes minimum,
    30 minutes maximum.
So, I guess arrest and talk with SEA.
P.S That was ICly way. Not OOCly.
IF WE'RE TALKING ABOUT POSSIBLE OOCly way, admins would heal marines probably and talk with the CT who primed nade.

I can't say that marine who threw the grenade away did something bad, you said that he did that in order to save all the other marines. As I've understood he really saved marines and only one RO died instead of a lot of marines.
    Thanks for reply!
