"Chernov, huh? Guy's a real anomaly. I forgot he existed until you mentioned him. Yeah, I was his interviewer when he got in. I remember, the, uh, the cursing, the shouting, the slamming, boy, he was really aggressive and ticked off back then, now look at him, I'm sure other marines have met him, but I doubt anyone even has an idea who he is and forget him as quickly as I did. He's just so alienated from everyone else, soo… apathetic, it's amazing how he manages to fade away in such a culture-rich, weirdo filled place like the Falling Falcons, you know? Maybe it's his upbringing, or where he's from, but I've seen a buncha Ruskis making names for themselves too in the Almayer, the whole wide USMC even. If I can describe him, he's a guy that's simply there."
[Recording cuts, fast forwards again]
"There was this one person, as far as I know, that really got to him, same day I interviewed him. I-I think it was Shibata's kid I think. A good friend of mine from W-Y, Goro Shibata, came by for a visit with his daughter during the interview and while I was humoring him, his daughter just straight up waltzed right in the room and started talking to the guy. I saw this modge podge of rage just suddenly... whoosh... disappear…"

"So to sum it all up, quite quickly too, I'm running late for another interview with another baldie, Chernov has been the, I'm emphasizing this quite hard, THE most forgettable marine I've ever met; just less than the baldies but you get the idea. In such a place like the Almayer, with people like… I dunno, [NAMES CENSORED FOR PRIVACY], he manages to fade away so well socially it's actually getting a bit worrying for me… hope he can get some friends in the future or something… fucking weirdo…"
