    Background

Smith was found in a firestation in New York City, it is theorized that his parents were extremely poor and could not afford to take care of him, but this is mere speculation. He was immedietly taken to a Juvenile Center where he would spend most of his childhood. He always had a keen eye for detail, though he wasn't particularly gifted when it came to physical abilities and as such was a frequent target for bullies and the older children of the center. Due to the constant bullying by his peers Smith preferred to stay alone, often finding refuge among books and other doccuments.

Smith's life was fairly linear until his 15 years, when he came across the book Space Beast by Robert Morse, which quickly became his go to book when times were specially difficult, until one day his book went missing, he did not give it much thought and went to a library to get a new one, only to realize there were none either, in fact there were no records of the book ever existing. He immedietly started to investigate the Fiorina Correctional Unit and the events described by the book only to realize that it had closed for apparently no reason, he started placing posters asking for anyone with information to talk to him and created online chat rooms dedicated to unraveling the incident in Fiorina.

It wasn't too long before W-Y realized that there was someone digging into the incident and raising awareness about it, once they found out who was behind they would ensure he kept quiet for good. At least that was the plan, until they found out that mastermind behind it was 15 year old boy. Instead of making him disappear, the company decided to take him and use his fine detective skills to further their own goals.

Axel was indoctrinated with the W-Y ideals and trained in combat and weapon handling. In his 18th birthday he was assigned to the W-Y Intelligence Division, his task, to move to company facilities that went dark and secure any valuable doccument they may have had.

In 2190, following the transfering of a Company Liaison to the USS Almayer, Smith, knowing it patrolled the same sector that Fiorina station was in, immedietly volunteered to assist, his currently authority equals that of an Ensign and he opted to brand the W-Y logo into his helmet, so he does not forget who allowed to him to know what really happened in Fiorina.

Thanks for the story! An IO strongly supportive of W-Y will make for some interesting dilemmas.

If the CL gives Smith a contradicting order from the CO or XO, whose orders will he follow?

Given the fact that Smith is first and foremost a W-Y employee he would probably follow the CL's orders, unless they prooved to be too dangerous or borderline impossible
