Sheeesh this boy LRP as hell!
So what's the deal with vehicle crewman, really?
Like, just, why? Why is it even a thing in it's current shape and form at least? And why are said roles continually treated in-character like some fuckoff absolute heroes of da corps and whatever else the forced marine rp dictates? Why are 2 people infused with this unbeliveable protagonist syndrome and treated like the only thing that matters ever? Who thought it's a good idea to have a role of 2 people that carry the entire round and are given all the special snowflake attention, whether percieved or not, justified or not?
The grand amount of times I rolled and played VC was 2. Two. Once as driver, other time as gunner. I just see no reason at all to ever waste my time rolling for a role surrounded by so much cancer and vitriol from the community.

Max Judge, the 45 year old slightly fat man with an unfitting action hero name.
Fred, the worrisome synth.
Thanks for the new Copypasta Rem
So what's the deal with specialists, really? Like, just, why? Why is it even a thing in it's current shape and form at least? And why are said roles continually treated in-character like some fuckoff absolute heroes of da corps and whatever else the forced marine rp dictates? Why are 4 3 people infused with this unbeliveable protagonist syndrome and treated like the only thing that matters ever? Who thought it's a good idea to have a role of 4 3 people that carry the entire round and are given all the special snowflake attention, whether percieved or not, justified or not?
The grand amount of times I rolled and played spec was 2. Two. Once as scout the other time as pyro/ I just see no reason at all to ever waste my time rolling for a roll surrounded by so much cancer and vitriol from the community.

undelete the post rem u pussy
Former staff, also former Synthetic senator.
Now just a shitposter and lurker.
Yowza!
To be fair, I actually agree with the original post. Specialists kind of suck at the end of the day with the whole elitist vibe they give.
While specialists won't necessarily determine a round or not, people hold spec players to the regard that they best do what they do perfectly or they are a horrible spec and it should have been them who rolled it instead.
I rarely ever play specialist, simply because I hate the mindset of I can't play how I want without "throwing away" the spec roll, and "screwing the marines" where as it really doesn't matter at the end of the day, because it truly is the grunts who do most of the work regardless.
imagine playing specialist as an unga frontliner and not as a dedicated support role
