How do you view the tool of Battlefield Execution to be used? What circumstances do you think it would be necessary to BE a member of the crew? Where do you think the Battlefield Execution Mechanic Differs from regular Execution and why? The tool of Battlefield Execution is to be used sparingly. It is not to be done on the ship as that falls under MP jurisdiction. A BE is only justified if it is planet side if a marine has committed, murder, desertion, or sedation. It is also justified sometimes if a marine is committing major disrespect on the battlefield. The Major difference between regular Execution and a BE execution is the jurisdiction of the MPs. the MPs cannot deploy so if there is a criminal endangering the Operation it is the duty of the CO to remove that threat if need be.
How will your Commanding Officer run his/her ship? Provide a detailed explanation on how he would handle situations that might commonly occur such as, a insubordinate Req, Engineering, MP, or Command Staff I would Run the ship a calmly as possible and let each department run without interference unless they were not completing their necessary function, such as req no having enough men to man the line/wasting points, or engineering is not loading the OB. If any department is beginning to become hostile, I will assume at first that it may be my fault and try to talk and de-escalate the situation by hearing them out and hopefully end the situation peacefully. (such as if CMP is claiming that i violated the law by pardoning a spec instantly and then allowing the MPs to arrest the spec cause i didn't know he killed two marine and an MP.) If the situation is not resolved, then I am forced to send in MPs and arrest all hostile parties. This may change to shooting if it is a full blown mutiny. In the unlikely event that the MPs are the ones mutinying, I would call back all available marines to CIC and order them to attempt to detain any MPs willing to surrender and shoot those who continue to resist.
What do you think is the job of a Commander? To Orchestrate the initial assault plan such as squad orders, which LZ, and where to spend points. once the operation has begun although i am still ordering units where to go and getting them to follow their SL and complete their objectives, my main task becomes to provide support such as dropping supplies to LZ and SL cords and providing air support with OBs and getting the POs to do their job. It is also less importantly to provide moral support and RP when possible.
As a player what do you think could be added for Commanding Officer to benefit the role? I would try to run my operations calmly as possible. As far as strategies, I would probably do the same as most COs IE,
ALPHA: BAR/ HYDRO
BRAVO: FOB
CHARLE: POWER
DELTA: DELTA
I would however maybe mix it up by scrambling what each squad usually do and maybe leveling the LZs with OBs before coming down on maps like LV, ICE, TRIJENTDAM and SOROKYNESTRATA.
What do you think you could contribute by being whitelisted? I don't flatter myself as anyone of note in my life but in this game I would try my best
to no be a bad CO who gets all of his men killed and i would obey the server rules and not do anything to insane. My command would be as bland as my life.
Your story (potential topics listed below) Captain Harold Rusty-
Harold Rusty is a tired old man who has been in the USCM for 30+ years. Drowning in collage debt as a 18 year old junior finance major in 2158, he decides to join the USCM for the financial relief package provided after 4 years. He chose the USCM due to the fact that it was the only military branch to have never seen combat. Unfortunately, as his basic training is coming to a close in 2159, The Sol campaign began. He was terrified on graduation day as men being given deployment orders. He had heard the stories on mars, millions dying in one battle for a measly few acers of red desert and ruins of cities.
But surprisingly his suffering in collage actually came to use and saved him from frontline combat. He was assigned a desk job at the USCM Supplies Core Division. The Next 3 years he fills out the paper requests for Millions of rockets, bullets, tank parts, space fighters, and, most horrifying, body bags. In 2164, He almost retired as he Watched the news about the Slaughter of Xibou and realized he had filled out the paperwork for weapons shipped to USCM units their. However, He decided to stay in the military knowing that the lawlessness of the Colonies declaring independence on a global scale would only mean more death as the UPP would try to prop up satellite states which of course (as shown by the 2165 Operation Canton) would lead to a full out war between the USCM marines and the UPP devastating the planet.
After Many years in service He eventually reached the rank of captain still in the Supplies Core. In 2178 He married a woman named Maggie Martel at 30 years old. After 20 more years in service and having one child, Watson Harold, He is offered a rear Admiralship, which he will happily accept due to the pay increase. Before he can be excepted though He is required to have command over a ship for at least 3 months. Since this is just a formality Captain Harold Rusty is assigned to a damaged old ship named the USS Almayer. It is currently low on supplies on a routine patrol in the sector. This Deployment should be uneventful.
