Personel Notes:
Reason for Enlistment: While Lance Corporal Hopper was very vague on his reasoning of enlistment with Staff Sergeant [REDACTED] at the enlistment center, digging into his background shows a likely reason. Jackson Hopper was a band director at [REDACTED] High School in Florida from 2185, until 2187 when the campus was bombed with homemade explosives, killing 16 students and 2 staff. The CLF was quick to take responsibility, claiming that the school was "asking for it" after the school board renamed several sections of the campus in honor of several alumni who took part in the Sol Campaign. Hopper was not present during the attack, due to being at a Music Educator's Meet in Miami. Four days after the incident Jackson Hopper arrived at the enlistment center and spoke with Staff Sergeant [REDACTED]. The Lance Corporal declined an interview when approached about the subject earlier this year.
Operation Urban Sun Incident: Lance Corporal Hopper lost his left eye during Operation Urban Sun whilst clearing out an abandoned, but rigged CLF bunker. Private First Class [REDACTED] accidentally set off a wire while clearing the bunker with Hopper, causing the bunker to explode and collapse on top of them. After several hours of digging, the critically injured Hopper and deceased PFC were recovered. Lance Corporal Hopper was quickly medevaced and was miraculously saved by medical personnel of the USS [REDACTED], but lost all vision in his left eye due to shrapnel. It was removed days later. Hopper was out for nearly half a year for physical therapy and was adamant about returning to the field despite his missing eye and opposing thoughts from his superiors. He was reassigned to the USS Almayer due to the passing and needed replacement for Lance Corporal [REDACTED] of Charlie Squad.
