Synthetic Whitelist Application
Personal InformationByond ID? FrogZeke
Marine Name Rebecca Sterling
Other Whitelist Applications I have not applied for any whitelist positions.
Character InformationName of the Synth Character you wish to play Day
What is your Synths quirk and personality? Day models were advertised and marketed as a multiple purpose synthetics, specialized in youth education, but capable of acting in medical and civil engineering. The true purpose of the model was the brainchild of USCM PSYOPs. The mission was observing the civilian population for any signs of secession or sympathy towards the CLF or UPP. Through education and community support, the model's mission is to build and maintain loyalty to the USMC. It regularly reports the status of the colony for HC to determine if troops need to be mobilized, with the hopes of ending insurrection, before the colony can establish connections with the UPP or CLF. Shipside, it turned out that using a synth that smiles when marines eat crayons, teaches them how to make paper hats, and enjoy reading children's books aloud, worked well.
* Outwardly kind, nurturing, and supportive, like a kindergarten teacher
* Encouraging, ‘You deserve a gold star!’ for good effort and job performance
* Refers to individuals by school names, IE Principal and Vice Principal, children in low stress situations (To save on players having to highlight)
* Quick to report sedition, though will attempt to talk marines down
Why do you want to be a synthetic/why should we whitelist you? Support is the best part of the game. Medic exhausts you, but saving a marine with 600+ burn is a high. Engineers can smile when their section of a FOB holds 40 straight minutes of xeno charges and the spitters start aiming for you instead of the cades. Pulling a living larva out of an IO as they convulse on your operating table as a doctor is one of the most awesome moments of all of CM (Seriously! Happened only once, but it was AMAZING). So why Synth? Because you guys do all of it, and I know some of you wish you could be everywhere to help. You are some of the most knowledgeable players that keep marines able to play, what is there not to look up to?
Synthetic Character Story
ExperienceHow familiar are you with Engineering? I have played squad engineer, MT, OT and CE (more recently), the speed of xeno wall destruction and being able to build window frames has definitely forced me to tweak some building methods
* FOB construction, siege situations
* Construction, deconstruct walls and airlocks
* Loading and chambering OB
* OT chemical synthesizing and ordnance creation
* Repairing reactors and SMES
* Setting up camera Networks
* T-COMS setup and T-COMS repair during Delta
* Vehicle Repair
* Loading weapons and ammo on CAS
How familiar are you with Command? I have played dozens of rounds as SO, acted as aXO (SOP violation), but mostly shipside with a few deployed times, mostly to fill in as medic+.
* Understating the importance of communication, and listening to all channels (highlight!)
* Using the overwatch (OB excluded due to synth programming)
* Tracking IOs, and their importance for defcon
* Checking manifests for departments lacking personal, and filling in
* Managing big personalities as coworkers and superiors
* Launching crates to valid coordinates
* Acting as RO
* Squad reassignment, and access modification
* Working chem more
* Releasing defcon funds
* Using tacmaps and linking in announcements
How familiar are you with Medical? I consider myself a medic main. I have worked as a doctor regularly, both shipside, FOB and frontline.
* All surgeries, with or without the aid of advanced scanners
* Chemistry for custom medication, unga juice, purges, and cryo setup (50-50 clone-cryo)
* Know autodoc usage
* Dialysis and stasis bag usage for ODs
* All things medic
* FOB and frontline doctor deployment for field surgeries
* Research and botany
How familiar are you with Requisitions? I have worked solo as CT, filled in as RO as SO, and been RO a couple of rounds. REQ is the make or break department, it is the first department to check if it needs help.
* Working REQ line
* Preparing drops, setting launch pad, and launching supplies
* Filling ammo boxes in squad preps
* Monitoring all channels for supply deficiencies
* Recording all supply coordinates, leaving the note and pen near E pad
* Communicating supply launches to all squads
* Tracking which squad has which spec for ease of resupply (though they still won't supply you forward coordinates)
* Managing budgets
* Preparing for the last stand during Delta alert
* Welding vents, defending or running and calling for help when attacked (people don’t check on REQ)
What are some scenarios that you can perform combat in? Give us a brief example. Acting in self defense for one's own self-preservation when escape is not an option, be it non-lethal in the case of Almayer personnel, or lethal when a xeno that has trapped you in a corner or preventing the recovery of a revivable marine. The most important is to deter interference, not trying to secure kills.
Delta Alerts allows for more open combat freedom, but as melee only, one should not invite more friendly fire by crossing in the lines of fire. I would continue to focus on support (coms and medical) as primary while as long as a fighting force remains.
If choosing to defend command during mutiny, non-lethal methods of combat are allowed.
ConfirmationsAre you familiar with the Synthetic Programming and Guidelines? Yes
Do you understand that any player - donor or otherwise - can have their whitelist status revoked should they break our rules or the Synthetic Programming Guideline? Yes
Do you understand that you cannot advertise your application on any platform for votes. Do you also understand you may not edit this application 1 hour after it has been posted? Yes
Have you been banned from CM in the last month for any reason? Do you have any active jobbans? No
Are you currently banned from our Discord, and if so, why? No
Other InformationDo you have anything else you would like to include about your application? I have also done transport PO, to include fulton operation (silent POs are terrible) and evacuation.
In addition, I have also acted as IO escort on several occasions, sorted intel, read intel, decrypted disks, updated consoles, and communicated objective updates. I feel it is important to mention, because IO/escort get into combat situations where deterring the enemy or running is the best course of action. A dead IO is highly detrimental to the marines, and I know that applies to synths as well.
Thank you all, whether I am approved or denied. In the case of the latter, please tell me how I may improve, so I can try again next month.
