Description of the incident I was playing SO during a pretty standard round, during which it got reported that we had a xenocultist traitor. From reports it sounded like he had killed a couple marines, and his body was eventually brought up to CIC. While in CIC, I shot the body. (Should be noted - it was permadead by this point, I had a medhud and could see that. This was in no way permakilling a player). This was because they were a traitor that killed men under my command, and I thought it would be in character for them to shoot the body. I was then noted by jamesthebond for LRP after a back and forth for a while. Nothing special here. My argument against this is chiefly that defacing a body isn't necessarily LRP. I think it was completely in character for someone who had lost men to a traitor, to deface the body of said traitor while no MPs were around. I'll give more specific examples below of similar things happening IRL. I do not think Jamesthebond adequetly investigated whether or not incidents like this happen, and assumed that it was automatically LRP and that marines wouldn't do this.
Should be noted he wasn't hostile in any way. No hate towards the guy, just think he made a wrong call on this.
Evidence Edit Note:
While I appreciate your warnings please enclose any links to hazardous images or information in spoilers.
(I asked Grim before this what the forum rules were on graphic content. I was told it was fine, but it needs to be accompanied with a warning and be strictly informational. Because this is supposed to be evidence arguing that defacement of bodies isn't LRP, I was going to reference IRL examples of similar things happening. So, huge warning - the following is quite graphic and is only here for the sake of argument.)

In this example it's a couple of SSGTs and misc others making jokes and laughing while defacing an enemy body. I think this, along with other examples (Eddie Galagher) shows that among enlisted sometimes they do deface bodies and make jokes about it. Especially after taking heavy casualties. You could however, make the argument that none of them were a commissioned officer. A similar incident occured during the:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biscari_massacre
In this case, it was the shooting of POWs but was motivated by the same reason. A unit has taken heavy casualties and Captain John Compton, angered by this, had some of their POWs shot.
The reason I reference this is because it shows that even high ranking personnel are not above being angered to the point of performing terrible acts. The reason for referencing this in particular, is because it was an example from the US millitary and it was motivated directly by losing men.
I think together, both of these show that when angered sometimes people in the US millitary will deface bodies. I believe it also shows that even officers do sometimes commit egregious acts with the same motivation. With both of these as reference, I don't believe it's LRP for a lieutenant to shoot the permadead body of a traitor marine who killed some of his own men. Even joking about it is something that happened in the first example, and is something people do.
How you would punish the accused I just want the note removed, he didn't adminbus or be a dick. I just disagree with the ruling.
