What you guys have to combat loaders and them being "unrealistic"? Not going the "its in the comics" route, because most of the comics are retarded, but its literally here in the universe of CM.
They have power loaders, bigass exoskeletons that could easly be refitted with armor and guns, which makes them better at dealing with threats in "colonies" that USCM has to oversee like Prison Station, or Whoresat. Hell, each and every individual colony is situated somewhere basically cut off out of the rest of the planet somehow, in LV its heavy jungle, in BR its literall rock mountaints, the same with Sorok, or Trijent, as well as ICE colony (especially underground) and that new map that is about to come.
Combat Loaders would serve marines way better. They would be also more fun to fight as and with.
Both Tank and APC should be removed from non-ebent marine arsenal, because they are simply broken and always will be. They have to be simultaneously powerfull and weak to be balanced, all of that while in hands of two retards, who might either be only competent, or total baldos, there is no "robust VCs" as such can't exist currently with how shitty those vehicles are.
Combat Loaders wouldn't be much different from standard marine, 1x1 entity that is slower, but more powerfull than a PFC. Closer to a concept of a Spec, that totally different unit.
Jeeps and Humvees would ditch the armor and power aspect in favour of pure fast transportation, something that APC fails to do. APC has no armor, its guns are weak, it isn't that fast, not being able to outrun a runner and its untility is worthless. Whatever doctor inside of this piece of shit can do, he could do in groundside ghetto surgery planetside in LZ. The only benefit of having medical APC is that specs can be healed a bit faster, but a smaller 2x2 vehicle that could transport more marines and faster would do its job better.
Imagine the fact, that APC is somehow considered a viable replacement for tank, VCtards can pick between tank, or APC (when pop is right), while APC is in no way a sidegrade to a fucking tank.
Further exploring tank, it will always be broken and or unfun to fight against or with as combined arms. First thing that it takes fucking 3x3 space, which is nearly half of the view range of a human mob (7 tiles). Its too big, its too slow, it no way of doing anything meaningfull. Each and every loadout is countered by benos and it has to be countered by benos, otherwise tank turtling would start to exist.
There is no way that those vehicles that are bigass antithessis of CM combat would ever be balanced. They all exist in a limbo of sorts, being super weak to the point where they don't matter. Tanks and especially APCs those times don't change anything about the game, they are those pieces of shit that might block one 3x3, or smaller chokepoint that benos might want to storm, but not for long, because T3s are tanky enough to dance in front of a tank and slash it couple of times, regenerate health in less than a minute and go back into slashing, Boiler hide behind 10000 corridors and resin membranes thanks to not needing to have a clear firing lane, so they melt tank from safety. One runner is enough to kill a tank if it doesn't have enough support.
Tank and APC are bad and should be removed, but that never be the case, I know. No matter what will happen, council of beetroot would never remove, or replace it because of the policy that feature made by the dev and added cannot be removed. Each and every discussion about Tank, or APC is meaningless and a big waste of time, because those pieces of shit will always sit in status quo. Firstly no dev want to touch them, secondly staff thinks that those vehicles somehow attract players and make the game more appealing some how, thrid reason is that its super hard to balance outside of being a fragile, slow tincan with slighty better weapons than single PFC has.
Two PFCs with flamer do more than Tank with flamer does. Two PFCs with UGL do more than tank with GL does. One (maybe two) SG/s do more than tank could ever dream doing with its minigun.
We've already started developing exoskeletons in real-life so it wouldn't be unrealistic to assume that combat loaders would exist at the end of the 22nd century.
Also, a giant hamster ball would probably still be more useful than the tank or APC.
Because some people still think it would be unrealistic for them to exist

In Alien versus Predator 2 there is Combat Loader nicknamed "Alice" and it isn't supposed to happen into much into the future from CM.
Aliens versus Predator: Extinction also has combat loaders and isn't going much into the future.
Not to mention, that standard Power Loader exist. Any Engineer should be able to modify it to serve new purpose. Literally weld heavy plates to protect the pilot and various components around, then mount a gun on one arm and you are golden. If simple common engineer can do it, why USCM would be unable?
In non-stupid lore it makes sense. Beno threat has been recently discovered, too recent to do anything on a large scale, but retrofitting old power loaders into combat versions is cheap, fast and easy and combat loader itself is better suited to figth CLF and Xenos that tank, or APC.
Combat loader engineers. You get to scrap together some parts, duct tape them onto a combat loader, and kill benos.

I find the aversion of certain devs to combat mechs to be confusing. Its almost as if they only associate "mechs" with animu magic-fueled physics-defying atrocities instead of the more hard sci-fi versions that are effectively heavy power armor.
Maybe these individuals cannot accept a single marine being effectively more durable and damaging than a single xeno. Maybe they fear it would be a slippery slope (like canonizing HEFA Knights was). Either way, its a lost opportunity that could have made for much more interesting gameplay than what is provided by the tank/apc.

Adding combat mechs would present devs with a pretty large dilemma - make them drivable by all marines and have them meta-given to robust people and generally powergamed about with, or make a new mech driver role that effectively becomes spec 2.
Neither sounds particularly appealing.
