    Aug 28th HvH event feedback

    Slugs bad.

    Though with a bit more seriousness, I think the event could have been vastly improved with a bit more prep time.

    I know a bunch of mappers made UPP bunkers as their test of competence for becoming devs, and using one of those would’ve really helped the feel of the round.
    Coms at round start also would’ve been crucial for UPP, literally all the command roles were hanging out in deep caves totally unaware that half their forces were setting up at hydro and containers until I ran back to tell them.
    Giving UPP the means to mine or trap the colony would’ve also really helped them hold on a bit longer. Some deployable HMGs also would’ve gone a long way to make it feel more like an actual defense.
    The pre-setup cades in the caves were a nice touch, but I think the mod time spent on then would’ve been better employed placing down piles of pre-filled sandbags, a weapon selection at round start or a basic power grid for attachment vendors.
    We got a bunch of people playing Medics and Engineers who didn’t want those roles. I think one even suicided. More clearly labelling the mobs with their roles would’ve really helped there.


    So far for my criticism! I died fairly early into the mission (slugs bad), but I appreciate what you guys tried to do here and hope we see events like this again on occasion.

    It seriously felt like a generic as fuck HvH round.

    Get fucked by slugs, scopes, people with night vision, SGs, while the antags doesn't get the infrastructure that you actually realize were pretty essential for a regular round (nanomeds, weapon/ammo vendors, not even roller beds until I ahelped for them to be spawned, or even just splints for non-medics, at least there's a food vendor, etc.) which just made me even more grateful for what little the Almayer does have.

    just keep on building / completing the UPP base, when this will be complete and fonctional, lv hvh will be way more fun.

    there should be a branch, that you keep and work on, for the uppbase; dont try to spawn it on the fly evrytime; keep it and improove it until it its completed with evrything a human side need to be fully combat effective.

    like, upp base should have evrything almayer have or almost.

    If you see its HvH event and its still completly dark in colony, simply don't play if you want to avoid frustration of bad admeme running bad ebent. My only advice and I'm glad that I missed this shitty event despite the fact that I like HvH.

    Yeah, the others brought up a good point.

    Why the hell is the pre-made HvH bunker (the one with Charlie the chicken) not used as an already built base for the antag factions on any of these HvH events ever? Just put a ladder or something that teleports people into adminspace Zlevel there like usual.
