I often used to have to tell medics to focus on revives rather than patch up my bruised arm chasing a medal, also alot of medics seem to forget that CO's are basically medics too.

CO's hold order indeed goes hard. Also CO can do combat medic things themselves so you can also think of it of a medic reviving another medic.

deploying cos should always, at the very minimum, bring a pill bottle of kelotane, bicardine, and tramadol with some splints and burn/trauma kits for themselves.

ideally just a whole lifesaver belt and a defib too, but item storage has always been an issue for deploying COs

Unless you get lucky and find a UPP Lightweight Combat Pack on Sorokyne near LZ1 or get an IO backpack for yourself somehow you're gonna be pretty inflexible as far as effective loadouts go, yeah.

there's a ERT lightweight combat pack on kutjevo near bioplant processing as well, almost never melted since it is hard to spot and generally unknown.

In my experience if you try trading your CO backpack to one of the IO's they'll usually trade for it, as IO's don't need quick access as much as they need sheer storage. Or if you want baller commando aesthetics you grab yourself the sniper smock, field CO's should definitely be bringing their own medical supplies at the least and ideally have a defib to assist medics. I usually liked taking the CO rifle + tac shotgun but you could get away with just taking one of those. Inventory management is tight when your deployed, another alternative is you bring down some MP honour guards and make them carry your spare stuff

Tac shotgun all the way, as you shouldn't be shooting when you deploy as CO.

You deploy because using a binoc and seeing the entire battlefield is 100 percent more efficient than using CIC camera's, as well as being able to push marines to push or retreat, and the ability to BE someone doing retarded things like nading pushes (which ups morale, because I certainly will follow a CPT that BE's the retard that frag nades an entire push out of nowhere).

You only use the special CO rifle on hijack situations, so that you can smart scope poke at boiler / crushers with fire mag then AP in the back till you win or die.
