I do, as a large caste it can be hard to hit thing if they're on the north of you.

Situationally. It's a mechanical tradeoff that sacrifices accuracy, wherein you can click any tile behind cardinally north/south/east/west and ANY tile in between those directions when slashing diagonally to achieve a slash others would normally do by sprite clicking.

The price for the accuracy is timing, which is less spam-click-able than traditional clicking, so it puts some people off. Especially when a new player turns it on thinking it's an aim assist that functions similar to shooters more so than an alternative clicking style, which is what it really is.

I don't use it often because my latency is low enough to respond to non-directional slashing with consistency, but I do have it on in vines.

If it's regular rounds, Directional, if it's XvX regular shit(sprites are way larger than marines, easier to hit.)

Directional is better most of the time depending mainly on sprites imo, I usually end up fighting with several xenos and occasionally one guy is focused. It's a pain when your caste/strain is dependent on having abilities enhanced by slashing the target prior to using them, and when a runner jumps on someone I'm trying to kill and my body thinks "Imma nibble this guy instead of slashing the tall under him", gets annoying.

It's situational. Normally, no. If I'm trying to do some janky stuff, yes

    I keep it on.

No choice really, trying to click on Marines accurately while dealing with a desynch wave incoming is death. And mind you, according to my speed test, I have 20-30 mbps.

I think it's helpful enough to warrant consistent use. If you're bad at combat, like me, it saves you a lot of pain.

Pouncing and then moving mouse onto target is too slow. With Dirslash I can just step back one tile and get to town.
