I'm not sure specifically about this, but it can sure as hell stun a Drone, defender, runner, sentinel, spitter, warrior with 100% chance and stop what they are doing.
MOU shotty, V-grip for long accuraccy, 2x scope, and off you go off-screen xeno sniping. 100% accuracy on full range. You can stun those immortal defenders to mess with their ego.
Also it not just stuns but slows, blocks most abilities and blinds also. It's one of those underused meta-weapons that can shred 50% HP from the above mentioned classes in 3 shots.
Regarding queen screech would be interested to know. It can sure as hell block the other xenos abilities so they pretty much have to retreat.

Slugs stop all abilities from being used for a very short time. So yes.

Slug "daze" effect on unstunnable benos (T3s, Queen, Hivelord, Carrier, Defender in lowered crest and fortify, boxer warrior) just prevents change of ability.
So to stop Queen from Screeching, she had to have neuro spit ability selected, get hit and then try to select "Screech". And even if that happens, its like 0.5 second IRL. Unless like 4 marines would constantly shoot in perfect order, one after another, its impossible to prevent Queen from Screeching, its impossible to prevent T3 from doing anything, its impossible to prevent unstunnable T2 from doing anything.
With stunnable xenos its buggy, totally inconsistent. One time it will prevent using any ability at all, another time it will only not allow xeno to change it.
You want proof? Find Crusher that is about to pounce, he will have that spinning red circle above his sprite. Hit him with slug. He will pounce anyway. Slugs don't prevent abilities being used. Need more? Find invisible lurker and slug it. Lurker will still be invisible and able to pounce as soon as it stands up from stun.
