    nah apc is more useful than you as aco.
    but honestly the apc has many issue and one of those is the turret doesn't have 360 degree coverage. which Is absolutely rediculous.
    and secondly it lack a point defense system. littlerally anything to allow it to defend it self would be the frontal light machine-gun and even then it has a very limited coverage. I am aware some vehicle are like this in real life but that doesn't excuse the apc for not having better system no?
    the flak cannon is hella funny to use but I would trade it for a tow missile.
    Infact why not mobile mortar which would make it 20x cooler. and also a pain for the devs to code

    Having APC have an AP non flak autocannon would be cool, aswell as TOW missles at defcon 2, or just weapon variability to be fair, it lacks any flexibility because it can only do the same kit.

    Removing it and replacing this shit with 2 trucks. Maybe some new ones, like half-tracked with a gun WWII style, so each VC gets one that only they can drive. Maybe with guns inside that transported marines can use outside.

    It doesn't lack weapon flexibility, or 360 degree cannon coverage. Its inherently worse than tank and always will be. Thats why its allowed on lower pop. This means that everyone, devs and admemes alike recognise, that its weaker.

    It sacrifaces armor and weapon damage/coverage etc in favour of a bit more speed and few seats for marines. Too big, too slow and not enough marine capacity to be of any transport use. One simple survivor truck does transporting better than APC.

    Medical APC is shitty. All it does can be as easly achieved by surgeon deploying to LZ and making there a ghetto surgery. Scanner, sleeper and operating table are not worth shit.
    Just get normal truck and transport wounded to him and then make a return trip with healthy ones.
    The only thing unique it really has is treating snowflake robustos a bit faster and on the field. Not worth it.

    Then Command APC that is just a joke. No adventage to sitting in CIC. In theory CO/XO/SO could get out for a second to shout orders and hide inside.

    However I know that APC won't be removed, or replaced, so instead I propose to give it better utility. Maybe something like microwave generator? The one military uses against riots. Make so it gives severe debuffs (massive slowdown, or something like that + something else, like inability to be healed, Queen not being able to see the area that is affected, weeds dying etc) for xenos that are infront of it when its active immediately, while marines would get them only for being in the area of effect for too long.
    Here. With this APC becomes a proper SIDEGRADE to tank and is truly supporting marines.
    Here, perfect tool to break chokepoints.

    Transporter APC: give it more space somehow. Minimum 8 but that's not even enough 12 should be good. Buff guns, give rockets with long reload time.

    Medical APC: swap scanner with autodoc, or add both. Since it's need a surgeon it's tricky to use. Remove the gunner seat, let it have 1 driver, a weak gun against runners and the rest of the space should be used for the things mentioned. Also place a medvendor inside. The idea is to let medics use it in the middle of battle and not to force a surgeon to deploy.

    Command APC: give a gun that can fire 10 flares in 10 direction with one shot to 10 tiles so it lights up the area. Let is have speakers that gives boosts to people who are around it. It should have only 1 small gun or none at all and be a full support vehicle with ammo-vendor.

    With the coming techwebs and RTO revamp, I'd like to see at least the Command APC become a proper command vehicle in the irl sense of the word.

    Give it radios or something inside that can act as a armored version of RTO, with extra utilities to set it apart.

    Rotating turret and a TOW missile might be a welcome addition. But end of the day how the APC performs is up to the retards driving and gunning it. If they're mega retarded then they're useless like MPs.

    If maps were big in scope and designed for vehicles, it would be an essential part of the gameplay and boost the necessity of logistics in all aspects as well coordination inbetween the squads and the Platoon.

    Thing is not much people like big maps in a Arma 3/Squad thematic let's say and prefer rather to jump right into action and get the cut done. Fair point as getting down to business is already a long journey.

    Give the APC IFF and artillery module range, reduce the damage to whatever is reasonable with that change. Then it can sit behind marines and support them, rather than charging in front and blocking more damage than it causes.
