The apps sat for a little while, I'm at work and can't do the full questions I would normally.

    With that said.

You disagree with the decision to arrest a marine. You order the MP to release the marine. The MP has refused.
Is the MP eligible for BE for disobeying your order?

A specialist is charged with murder because someone disarmed them while their rocket launcher was wielded. They have requested an appeal and/or a pardon. Can you do this? How would you?

What does leadership mean to you?

    1. Of course not, after all it would be a charge of Insubordination at worst, and that's just in the case that i have pardoned then, which is already situational since all crimes require an appeal to be pardoned along with some mild evidence and proof to even take them into consideration for a pardon, i would BE them for example if they actively used a lethal weapon on the prisoner or me to do so however, as it would be quite unnecessary and could even get them a charge for murder or attempted murder.

2.- First of all, i wouldn't consider it murder, more like a breach of SOP, since weapons are meant to be holstered while not in used while onboard the Almayer (unless used in a firing range of course) and since they didn't fire the rocket intentionally (weapons can go off very easily if someone with a low CQC skill attempts disarming someone who's wielding them), so yes, i would likely let them appeal and even pardon them, unless they're being too messy while arrested that is.

3.- To me Leadership doesn't just mean throwing men into an issue until it's solved to "always win"/"make them useful", i consider that useless and something that isn't useful, to me Leadership is the capacity to keep a force on full operational efficiency while Commanding them, however also making sure that their morale is high enough and that all their needs are satisfied, while also trying to keep them safe and sound during the operation, after all, nor marines, nor shipside or civilian personnel are to be seen as only "disposable tools", they all can give something useful towards the operation with sufficient and proper handling, to handle assets properly and carefully to ensure every each of them is used to it's full potential while also attempting to keep such assets safe and maintained.

    1. Correct in that the BE is not valid as the MP is refusing to follow an illegal order. You can't just order an MP to release someone without following due process.

I'd like to point out that pardons do not require an appeal. Pardons are also *not* used in "this prisoner is actually innocent of the crimes charged" cases. If the prisoner is found innocent by appeal, they are to be released without usage of the pardon mechanic.

A pardon is, specifically, "You are guilty of the crimes listed but I am willing to release you anyway and take that responsibility unto myself as I need you working more than I need you brigged"

    2. It's arguably manslaughter depending on the situation, but yes. On appeal, if you felt manslaughter or a lower charge was appropriate you can downgrade the charge and then pardon them, but you cannot pardon murder on its own.

    3. Good enough, I'd argue that good communication skills are an essential part of leadership too.

Aside from that I'm fairly sure you've been around ages and I don't think you'd cause too many issues as a CO.

    Happy birthday btw

Fine answers to Somenerd's questions, this app has sat for a decent amount of time and you kept playing XO.

Not much to say here, as it is pointless to echo.
